I hope everyone is all ready for Super Bowl this weekend! This is a perfect weekend to have your best friends over, serve up senselessly fattening snacks, and scream at the top of your lungs! For me that usually means being "Home Sweet Home" where my favorite couch is the best seat in the house - and I don't need a cooler cause my fridge is in the next room! In line with that thought...the inspiration site for this week takes you to the comforts of home with Ethan Allen. Everything on the site was inspiring to me, so I definitely had to scope myself down to just one section in order to pick my inspired images! I just wish I had a bottomless credit card so I could redo my whole house in time!
Please join me this week, and find your own inspiration at Ethan Allen, but don't forget to support the teams in the Super Bowl too (you know I'm rooting for the Seahawks here in Seattle, but don't hate me for it Denver Broncos fans - LOL)!
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because a picture on the site reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions as you browse the images. Remember, you may be inspired by colors, styles, themes, and even textures! Just let the site touch you in any way at all! Be inspired to create something new and uniquely YOU today .
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Ethan Allen site.
Use the keyword: IC426 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I was in the midst of making my February Fan Club Challenge card when I checked out this week's Inspiration site, finding a piece of furniture that would help me out. I was able to make a card for both challenges. Here it is:
Challenges I participate in: Inspirational Challenge, Sketch Challenge, Inspirational Challenge, Free 4 All Challenge, Queen for the Day Challenge, Feature Stamper, Color Challenge, Ways to Use It, Try a New Technique and I am a proud Tea-Potter Challenge participant.
Oh DEAR...what a lovely site...thanks for the visit there...super choice...here is my card from the romantic bedroom inspiration.. romantic country
We as people are raindrops of colorful ink , falling down Crisp and Clear, each a different shade more vibrant then the last, but once we realize at the bottom of an endless abyss we all fall into the same inkpot forming one color, only then can we come together as one My son.
Thanks for the inspiration, Audrie, I've actually been inspired to make quite a few cards today by this great sight but I don't like to overdo it in the gallery, here's two I chose to upload: Button Blessed Butterfly CAS
