This week's SCS Inspiration Challenges comes from the French store Nest, which combines Japanese design with Scandinavian influences. Nest features objects of timeless elegant design characterized by simplicity of form and a predilection for natural materials such as wood, flax, cotton, and woven straw. (If you use Google or Google Chrome you can translate the French to English to read the descriptions).
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I’ve uploaded three of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. The rest of you, remember to let us know which product from Nest that inspired you.
I asked Susan (peebsmama) to join me in making an additional sample card for this week’s Inspiration Challenge.
Use the keyword: IC265 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
The DSL/phone/TV have gone out for the second night in a row. Using my cellphone, I could see what the challenge was and make a card. But I had to wait until this morning to upload it when the services came back. Very frustrating....hoping the new year brings better service fron U-Verse!!!
I've been absent from the gallery for about a week, trying to recover from a really bad cold. But I had to drag myself into the craft room for today's challenge, my favorite of the week. Here's my card -- Enjoy a Cup.
Thanks, Steff, this inspiration site was just what I needed to help with mojo. I found some striped DSP to help with the french flair and some contemporary asian print for the floral. Also threw in some gingham cuz that's the kind of girl I am )(but the inspiration piece DID have some as well!)
Here's my SNOWBLOSSOM CARD

This was a super challenge, I have been wanting to do a black & white card and I love butterflies. This picture doesn't do it justice it really sparkles in real life.
