Inspiration Challenge #26 (Don't forget to add IC26 to your keywords please!)
Today's inspiration comes from a a magazine ad for teen bedding. Oh, and bonus points for anyone who uses the border on the wall in their card too
Feel free to translate the inspiration item into a card, a scrapbook page, or another project. Be inspired by the colors, layout, theme, or anything else -- this is up to your own interpretation!
My first thoughts were to go jump on the bed and wake DH up, sooo do I get bonus points for that? NO...I better just sleep on the idea for a card and stay alive!
I'm three challenges behind but I think I can make a flat card with this and maybe even roll some wheels on it! We'll see!
Thanks Karen!

Whoa.... that bedding is BOLD.... I am looking at it to try to get inspired and I am getting dizzy.... I will have to sleep on this one (HA HA HA---get it, bedding, sleep on it....) no really, I am delirious....I do need sleep!
That's the kind of bed that would keep me awake--it's so bright! I'll be thinking on this. I have stamping club in the morning, so I won't be able to play until the afternoon at least.

Stacy.... FANTASTIC take on the inspiration piece!! Although, you made me break my 'rule'.... I usually won't let myself look at any cards from a challenge until I make mine, or until I have a firm idea for my card in my head. Am I the only weirdo that does that?? (please.... someone come to my rescue and tell me they are like that too!) hmmm.... maybe I shouldn't even ask!
OK.... gonna TRY to get something together. I can't imagine I'll use the border also. If I do make this card, it will have to go toward the 'masculine' side. I have a 15yo son.... and almost ALL his friends play guitar. I might as well try to make a b-day card out of it.

Yup. Me! I find that once I look at the other pieces that I lose my creativity for it and my brain only wants to case. KWIM? I can only see the great cards you ladies have made. Very frustrating. I am glad it isn't only me

Yes I'm like that too! I sometimes look at Karen's but I try to wait until I'm done on the others. That's why I like to get my cards done before posting the sketch challenge since I have to look at the others to keep up on comments.

No way are you the only one to do this--I usually do my card and then skim the gallery after I upload. There are times though when I just get a mental block or too tired to stamp and will browse first, but it usually overwhelms me to see all the great cards, so I try to stay with my ideas first.
Here is my stab at the challenge. I do like the colors even though my scanner doesn't do a good job but I did something tomy camera and can't get pictures out of it into my computer. Do I need a new camera or a new computer? lol probably both. Here is my Post-it cover. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=70441
Well I can see my friend badmom66666 liking the bedding and she would be playing Elvis tunes to go with it too ! Here is my conservative approach to the sample, lol and I managed to get the border in too. Thanks Karen for some Saturday fun ! http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=17187

I thought of 3 things when I viewed this mornings inspiration piece. The color blocks, the combination of the bold colors, and the black and white content within the blocks. Using those I created this: Simply Said Popped Art

I have to wait too so I know my idea is original, I copy other peoples designs way too much to trust myself to look first.

I loved this challenge! As soon as I saw the inspiration I knew I'd want to use Jazzed Up! This was alot of fun - thanks Karen!
I actually had to hunt on the internet to find this bedding because my 13 yo budding musician saw it and wants to redo her room around it. It's at Target.

The magazine I think is from Sears. I'm not at home, but will be later tonight and I will post the catalog name & web address.
What a fun challenge Karen! Didn't have any musical stamps so had to improvise because I liked that theme. You make Saturday's alot of fun!
Here's my minimalist take: Rock N Roll

But if you do a search in google for "irock bedding" you'll find other places to purchase it too - but all seem to be about the same price. Happy shopping
Whoops, slap my hands. I posted my card and it was still Sat. where I am, but apparently it's Sun. other places, sorry moderators. This was a fun challenge, I didn't have much in the line of funky stamps so I sketched some stuff on mine.

This one definitely pulled me out of my normal zone. I recently bought a silhouette stamp that I knew would work great though, so I had to try it. Here's my card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...00&ppuser=3639
I have to add a note here - I hope I didn't offend anyone calling that bedspread ugly. I don't have any teenagers in my home and I'm sure if I did, I could be living with much worse. After seeing the wonderful cards you guys came up with, I am sooo glad I played along - that's the spirit of the challenge to try something new. Karen, thank you so much for the work you do with the challenge - please just excuse me for being so blunt and accept my apologies; I promise to play nice next week!

No need to apologize, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You not liking it, just makes it that much more of a challenge! Besides, I read all the posts, and never even noticed that you said that, so no worries!!
