Anemone thought that a great way to celebrate the Olympics was to have an Inspiration Challenge inspired by Ice Skating Costumes. There are so many fabulous themes and styles. Here as an Ice Skating Photo Gallery with lots of recent pictures (you can look by specific skaters and themes on the left) & another here & here, but feel free to use any Ice Skating pictures you find to inspire you.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I have uploaded three of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. For the rest of you, remember to link us up to the Ice Skating Costume that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC221 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). GREAT challenge, Stef and Anemone! I think I gave up on page 18 of photos and decided to go with the US skater that impressed me the most. The "Queen of Korea" was FANTASTIC!!.....but I was proud of Marai too.

Great idea Stef! It was an idea I toyed with when proposing VSN challenges, but I couldn't find a good gallery of costumes. Don't know if I'll have time to play since I'm helping with VSN today, but I'll be back to check out the galleries.

This was a very inspirational challenge for me... It posted last night at just shortly after I had finished my card for the VSN-C challenge. Which, by the way... I used the colors for that challenge from Japan's Women Skater Miki Ando and the costume that she wore. So, I only felt it fitting to share my card here... Hope you all enjoy!
