Inspiration Challenge #21 (Don't forget to add IC21 to your keywords please!)
Today's inspiration comes from a product tag from toys I bought my girls recently.
Feel free to translate the inspiration item into a card, a scrapbook page, or another project. Be inspired by the colors, layout, theme, or anything else -- this is up to your own interpretation!
In honor of this weekend's VSBN I did a scrapbook page for my challenge piece. I'll try to do a card today (but I wanna scrap ). The toy name was very inspirational -- it gave me the title and theme for my page! I took the colors and the blocky design, and even managed to fit the sun in there!
My layout is too big to attach here, so I've uploaded it, but it isn't approved yet, but I need to take my daughter to ballet...here is the link, hopefully it will be approved soon: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p?photo=269420
I'll check back in a little later.
I love those colors together! I would have never thought to do it. I am doing a card with the new set I got at regionals last weekend! Will post the pic later.
Karen... I LOVE your page! I need to do one like that! I always have miscellaneous pictures and now I can put at least one season together on a page. Thanks for the inspiration.
I envisioned a set of cards, but only did one. I'll share my idea here, because it is really better for scrapping than for a card. You could use it for a double page spread of each season to scrap a year in a hurry. Playing off the quote on the tag:
Random Acts of Summer
Exuberant Days of Autumn
Brisk Frolics of Winter
Joyous Moments of Spring

OK, so I am bit confused...what is the actual "inspiration" item????
Susan, the piece from which you should be inspired are the toy tags -- see the attachment one the first post. My interpreation of that piece is the link (a scrap page).
Let me know if that doesn't clear it up (I've got a headache, so I may not be explaining well).

The attachment at the top of the page. This time it is the two tags. You can play off of anything they make you think of--use the colors, the layout, the image, the theme, or it could just be a memory that it triggers. There aren't any wrong "answers". It's kind of fun to see the many different directions our minds take us after using the same item for inspiration.

oops. I guess Karen had already answered your question, Susan. I didn't realize that I hadn't refreshed this page before I answered.

I worked on this one most of the afternoon--It was a bugger, because I like the lettering on the tags and tried to mimic that by shadowing letters and setting on trapezoid, it just didn't work. So after finally getting the lettering back to basic and simple the rest of the card just fell together. My first time using my paper piercer and I can tell I need to practice Random Act of Expression Card
