This week’s inspiration challenge is beautiful stained glass windows designed by Frank Lloyd Wright suggested by justwritedesigns. She linked me up to this wonderful Saguaro Forms and Cactus window from the Arizona Biltmore. I uploaded a couple more of his window designs for some added inspiration.
Make sure you use the keyword: IC133 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I just love FLW and esp. these windows. Thanks for picking it, Steph. I so wanted to start on a card earlier today, but dh decided to prune some really tall trees and needed me to hold the ladder. He must want to live dangerously. Would you want the person w/ one hand in a cast holding the ladder? I'll have to get started on it tomorrow.
Lovely!! I hope I get to try my hand at a FLW inspiration! I love the style of his art windows, and other art glass of the period.
My husband says his mother (now deceased) told him that Frank Lloyd Wright was a cousin (not first) of hers. My paternal grandmother is supposedly related to Daniel Boone, too! Well, anyhoo, I hope I can find time to play!

Gorgeous inspiration pieces!!!! DH is sitting here thinkin' I'm nuts, as usual! But he'll ooh and aah when he should and it's all good! Have strong feelings for one of the pieces, so as soon as I get another cup of coffee in me...it's not even 5 am...I'm off to play!
Hi! I've had a heck of a time uploading...I got dumped three times, and this is going to be my final one...I GIVE UP!!! Life's too short to have this many stresses! LOL!
I don't think I'm going to be able to play today -- bummer. The reason being that my son is getting married this evening, and we have lots to do. I'll try to check back and see everyone else's though. Have fun -- Saturday's challenge is always my favorite!

Very interesting inspiration pieces this week. I took my inspiration from the far right piece. I used the colors and the white space with black borders. Here is what I came up with:
Wow! This looks like a hard one, and I've never been much of a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, unlike most people on this thread. I've visited his homes many times because I live in Wisconsin where most of them are. I love how he brings 'nature' inside his homes, but they've always been to modern looking for me. I'm more of a Victorian home girl. Anyhow, I'll put my thinking cap on and give this a try.

This one stumped me a little bit but I really liked the stained glass, which is what my background is supposed to be. I almost used some Hodgepodge, but wanted to keep the card simple and focus on the stained glass and not the bling because my style right now is pretty simplistic.
Whew! THIS was not my morning! I lost my upload twice after doing great detail about my recipe and story... so this third try is a bit shorter, but it's here at least. This challenge almost stumped me, but this is what I came up with... not my favorite for sure, but hope someone out there likes it! LOL!
