Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
I am thrilled to share with you our very talented guest hostess this week: Ms. Anne Ryan who has been inspiring us on Splitcoaststampers since 2007! Her gallery is truly an amazing art exhibition in itself! Anne has chosen a wonderful inspiration site for us this week, and she actually knows the artist personally (WOW!). Mr. Ramn Santiago has a very unique style, with loads of techniques and formats, so I'm sure you'll find it very inspiring as I did. If you appreciate modern and diverse artistic genius then you'll just love Anne's selection for our Inspiration Site this week! She'll be joining us later in the week due to an urgent change in schedule - but please join me in thanking her for the inspiration site!
Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Technical Tip: When capturing the hyperlink for my inspiration piece, what worked best for me was to right click on the image and select "copy image address". Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Ramon Santiago website.
Use the keyword: IC492 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites..… so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Here is my card for this challenge as well as my inspiration.

Reason: needed to add the rest of my sentence.
I must be a duh this morn.....I am having browsing problems on this inspiration site. I could use some help.....I can't seem to navigate to additional pages. thx for any help
I really need Anne's advice for browsing the site, and I hope she joins us tomorrow....but I have 2 suggestions:
If you can locate an image you like, then click on it until clicks don't make a change, then right click on it and select copy image address.
If you're having trouble locating pictures at all, then use the attached photos above in my post until tomorrow when we'll have some more tips from Anne.
Thanks so much for your patience
Audrie

click back button
click new releases-you should see 3 images
click back button
click latest work-you should see 7 images
click on back arrow
click on back arrow again
You should be on the home page again.
Click the star
Click on each different year and you will see a few images.
Continue to click back then do the next year.
I hope this helps.

I can see by some of your comments, you've had difficulty navigating Ramon Santiago's site. Admittedly, it is difficult and really doesn't offer much for inspiration. I would suggest you google his name. He passed away in '01 so he has limited pieces. I didn't realize how limited his gallery was until I actually checked it out myself.

Hi Audrie. Finally, I am here with a card based on Ramon's gallery. Unfortunately, I can't find the link of the piece I used for inspiration. Will edit my card when I find that.
Everyone, again I am very sorry work for me left your stranded on Saturday.
