Ha, ha, some of us like to abuse ourselves long hours in the evening only to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep to do it all over again. LOL! 4 am comes early and I am still up. What in the world am I thinking. Good night John Boy!

That sounds like tons of fun. It could be expensive, though!
A few years ago, a friend let me play with her Copic markers. You can guess what happened next. Yep. Had to buy some, then some more and some more. But oh how I love my Copics!

In our case, I have the extra toys so it would be more expensive for the others! Wish I had more copics! I have all the blendabilities and spectrums groups but copics are easier and blend better.

So worth it in the end though. Everything that I've organized in my craft area stays that way because I know where to put those things.....the things that I haven't organized yet tend to float around homeless cluttering everything and slowing down the stamping fun.

I just took the pooch for his walk even though it was cold, windy and drizzly. We went really fast though and I didn't want to miss out on my calorie burning the week before Thanksgiving! I've got pumpkins cooking and I'm about to start some pork in the crockpot so we'll have shredded pork for tacos one of the nights. I finished turning six pounds of tomatillos into salsa verde yesterday and that will be the sauce on my yummy pork!

This sounds so yummy Gail. I made shredded beef the other day-love it that it stretches for several meals. Today I am making a butternut squash soup with apple and bacon. I took a cooking class recently and this was the featured soup. Yummy!!

Have you ever cooked beef tongue? It makes really good shredded beef tacos too. That squash soup sounds yummy. I do one with butternut and apples too and another with acorn squash and kale. I make soup at least once or twice a week in the fall. So good!

I started making a dent in cleaning up my table last night. the goal is to have the room clean by this weekend so when we leave next week we get to come home to a clean everywhere...

who knows if this will happen. ( someone is hogging the cleaning fairy again) but, it's worth a shot right?

I had a chili disaster last night - I added too much chicken broth - should have just added water - it was SO salty - I have to buy more chuck to add to it tomorrow - and yesterday was a perfect chili day - gloomy, cold.

I had Cheetos for dinner! LOL

Sounds like a delicious meal to me

I know potatoes don't often go in chili but that's one way to sop up a lot of extra salt and at least it would be edible! Here are some other good tips when you oversalt:

I was sad and desperate

I made up for it for lunch today with roasted local organic cherry tomatoes and pasta

Have you tried refrigerator oatmeal? I love it and not only because it requires no higher thought or fine motor skills in the morning.

I eat for emotional reasons...understand completely the eating of sad and desperate. I often say I don't eat because I'm hungry...I'm seldom ever hungry but I'm always emotional or mental...

I have a recipe for oatmeal bake which you eat cold...baked in an 8x8 so cut into squares for breakfast...

My problem...once I start eating I then eat all day...today was an early morning start and I am strugglin'...

In our house every Sunday we have something new for dinner. We call it new meal Sunday. If we mess up the recipe then my DH has to make a run to Taco Bell. In the last year and a half we have only had to run to Taco Bell once. Oh if I told him he had to have Cheetos for dinner he would think I had gone mad. I once told him we were going to have cereal for dinner and let's just say he does most of our cooking now. That's one way to not have to cook any more. Giggles!

Well, we've just had scrambled duck eggs becausea) DH arrived home with half a dozen yesterday as a "trade" for sharing his fruitcake with a co-worker. Pretty much a trade in our favour - half a slice of fruitcake against half a dozen eggs!
and b) DH wasn't meant to be home tonight and he wouldn't have liked buttered pasta and cheese and broccoli which is what I was counting on having, and all that there was in dinner terms.

I remember hearing that a raw potato added to a too salty soup is supposed to absorb the excess salt. Not sure if that's true or not. But potato might make an interesting addition to chili.

I can relate!
Some people don't eat when they are stressed. Not me. I'm a non-stop hand to mouth person when I'm stressed and it usually needs to be something high in fat or sugar -- nuts, cheese, chocolate. Popcorn, vegetables, etc. don't satisfy. I'm like an addict that *needs* a food fix.

I've had an issue with food all my life. I love it but it does not love me.
My mother still jokes about one of my favorite dinner sayings, "My stomach is full but my mouth is still hungry."

To make matters worse, the more I try to "diet" the harder I fall off the wagon and the more weight I gain. It's been a vicious cycle of lose 10 pounds, gain 15 for the past 25 years.

I made open face turkey and cheese sammies on asiago bread we bought at the fair. OMG yum!!!! Tater chips and sour cream on the side!

My craft room is really shaping up!!! I will have a lot of fine-tuning to do all winter....but it's really getting there!! I will have a HUGE container of nolongerneeded cardstock, stamps and inks for 3 girlies who will be visiting this weekend!!!!

Hubby gets to deal with all the paperwork covering valuable flat surface real estate in the kitchen and dining room!!!

More cleaning to do, Christmas decorating to do, meal plans to write and baking to commence!!!!!

When I would report that two crackers, microwave popcorn, a Fiber One bar, couple of celery sticks and a teeny tiny chicken breast on lettuce wasn't satisfying me on a daily basis, my meeting leader was always asking if my stomach had shrunk yet

I recommend a book called The End of Overeating by David Kessler -- explains why we can't maintain a "diet" and has ideas for what to do instead. Excellent book.

I am a popcorn freak, and have had a bag of microwave popcorn for dinner myself many times. I like to top it off with a piece of chocolate. How awful is that? (Yummy but awful). I am 5'6" tall and weigh 140 lbs, and at 71 years of age, I am tummy heavy. Can I blame it on 3 kids, 2 sections and a hystero? Or do I have to take the popcorn and chocolate into account?????
