I just wanted to see if I'm allowed to paint with my distress inks mixed with Perfect pearls and a water brush. Since it's ink, I wasn't sure that was allowed.

Absolutely allowed - I'm more interested in you making & sending a card than in being picky about your "paint" medium. If you're putting it on with a brush, it works for me! And I happen to adore distress inks and perfect pearls.
Finally had some time to pull out my paint and brushes - very fun challenge! And I think I'll be doing this more often when I don't have the perfect stamp! SU's whisper white takes acrylic paint very nicely - it's just slick enough to enable you to move the paint.
I originally intended to just outline the tops of the snow drifts with the shimmer paint, but then I got a little carried away and ended up painting the whole snowy area.
Here is my Painted Butterflies card! I used distress inks with Perfect Pearls mist. Then I spritzed the entire focal panel with a light pink distress ink so that the white embossed butterflies would show up a bit better.
I scored a white piece of card stock then painted over it with pink paint - face paint believe it or not because I couldn't find my real paint . I love the soft effect it gave to the background: HYCCT1117

I finally got brave and tried this. I don't paint...I found an old set of watercolors that ex-boyfriend left here (they were slated for goodwill) and this is my best attempt....pretty scary but hopefully someone likes wild things....
