Just a reminder to put your cards into the HYCCT gallery when you upload them. I automatically put one into the stamp set gallery for the set I'd used and the mods helped me out by moving it where it belongs.
I just got an email from my friend Donna. They found a spot when she had a mammogram last week. She had a biopsy and heard today that it is cancerous. She and her hubby see the doc tomorrow morning.

There's a reason to get mammograms. Catch it early! Still, Donna's in my prayers. AND her family and friends.

I'd rather have a false positive than miss out on early diagnosis. My sister is a non-believer in mammograms, but my mom had cancelled her November annual mammo and when she found the lump in late March it was large and already in her lymph nodes. She hadn't been doing her self-breast exams either. Good reminders to keep up with it all. Prayers to all those who're themselves dealing with cancer or supporting friends or family as they go through it.
On a happier note, I'm all caught up! Just need to upload 2 in the morning (I guess that would be later this morning ) Now, off for some sleep before the new day hits for real.
I am all caught up with the challenges and all loaded. Today's challenge was a bit tough for me...mentally. I have always said jokingly that if I ever found a lump I would know it right away as I would FINALLY have A boob... but in all seriousness, even my little 36A self is scheduled for a mamo... My mom ignored her lump for 3 years... she was back in the day that they just carved you open and left a sunken spot. SO sad way back then but the abilities now are AMAZING, but she is STILL ALIVE 26 years later!!!!
Maybe you should use a smilie instead of the word!
LOL! I have smilie envy!!! I just can't do them, the last time I loaded a smilie thing onto my computer it CRASHED DEAD... NEVER to be revived... guess I picked a bad one! SO... I just giggle at those that post theirs and enjoy from AFAR!!!!
Funny how no one knew what word I typed originally and it made TOTAL sense to me when I re read it to make sure I didn't sound like a nut job.... lol

So sorry to hear this Mom, I mean Val! HUgs and prayers to you and her and her family.
This week has been so crazy! Tons of doctor appointments and pharmacy visits, surgery on Friday, another medical procedure on Monday that I have to prep for on Sunday... WAAH! I just wanna STAMP!! I have a LOT of catching up to do....
Hi friends.
It's my turn to ask for your prayers. I am having emergency surgery tomorrow morning on a herniated disc in my neck. I'm on some big pain meds so can't type much but I so believe in the power of prayer, and need all the help I can get. I am so sad- I think this will really limit my involvement this year. But I should still be able to enjoy the chatter and gorgeous galleries

Prayers & hugs goes out to everyone that needs them. I just lost another friend yesterday due to heart failure, she was only 48--still trying to cope after losing my good friend in August of prostate cancer.
I don't like movies that scare me, but for some reason....years and years ago when I was first married...I decided to watch The Shining while my hubby was at work. I had also set some trash out on the front stoop (because I was now afraid to walk to dumpster) and then forgotten about it. I heard noise on the stoop but didn't see anyone so I grabbed the pot of boiling water I had on the stove and went back to the front door so I could keep Jack Nicholson from axing his way through the door to me and almost threw it onto my DH who had come home from work a bit early and seeing the trash on the porch, dutifully taken it to the dumpster and returned home. Needless to say that was the last horror movie I've watched!
I watched Psycho (the original with Anthony Hopkins) when I was a kid and I was so frightened that I didn't notice the wall lamp had shifted and was burning a hole in the paneling. No more scary movies for me!

Val - I laughed out loud at your comment on my card - I'm exactly the same way. By the time I finally get around to a "new" product or technique, it's out of style
