Hello everyone! This will be my first HYCCT and I am so excited to be able to contribute! I just got back from taking my Mom to another appointment. She survived breast cancer in 1988 and was only recently diagnosed with a recurrance in her abdomen. We will find out on Friday if there is any in her lungs. She is in excellent spirits and so happy with all the beautiful cards she has been receiving from her SCS teaparty last week!
She just turned 81 years old and I think that might give some folks HOPE!
Love and prayers for all of you dealing with or having dealt with this awful disease!
KelliJo -- I mailed all my cards in priority boxes last year. I think I mailed two batches...
and I hope the dentist went well. I absolutely HATE going to the dentist!

LOL, where are you Jen, my house? Sounds just like where we are right now! I'm still working on cleaning up the dinner mess, then baths, homework is almost done. Think I'm just going to sweep aside all the clutter on my desk!

Your Mom will get at least one more card this week - my card for her just got mailed this morning. Sometimes I have good intentions but don't get things done as quickly as I should.

Thanks Vicki! I think I will plan it along with paydays!
I had to cancel the hair appointment... I was DONE and ready for my happy craft cave!
Well, after 8 hours in the ER, I am still not sure what is wrong with my eye. Hopefully a trip to an eye doc tomorrow will be more definitive. I didn't start there because of military insurance issues *sigh*. Here's hoping I can see well enough and that I have time to do some cards tomorrow.

Oh no, Tiffany - I'm so sorry to hear this! Here's prayers for a good doctors appointment and a super speedy recovery!

I managed to stay up last night (as opposed to dropping in to bed as soon as the kids do) and did two of the three challenges. But I made six total and couldn't be more pleased with myself. It's been a long time since I got inky. And even though I stayed up past my bedtime, I feel very rested. Have a nice day everyone. Off to get my chickens ready for school/daycare and myself ready for work.
I'm starting out very behind. Just found out my oldest has strep.
OH NO!!!! Better lock them away from the rest of the family.... lol Seriously That SUCKS!!!! Hope you all stay healthy and the strep ends QUICKLY!!!!!!
Thank you all for all the support! My eye is ulcerated but we caught it early. I have a stamping/scrapping club in the morning so I should be able to do adequate cards then! Loving everyone's projects so far!!!

I have no idea what that means but it sounds unpleasant. Glad you caught it early, though! Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery.

So do I!!! Of course there aren't many places where I live that have cupcakes...ok only one actually. You'll never believe it.....but the gas station convenience store in the next town over sells pre-made and sealed cupcakes....they're actually pretty darn tasty!!!!

We have a little joint behind our gas station turned espresso shop... they are like the Cupcake War peeps! I LOVE that show.... I also must confess to loving Food Truck Wars!!!!
We have a bakery in our town that WON cupcake wars! I wasn't able to get to the cupcake challenge today but hope to tomorrow. Maybe I'll have to pick up a cupcake for inspiration, eh?

I'm trying out a red velvet recipe Thursday so the cupcakes will have to wait. I need a trial run for Halloween cupcakes this year
I was able to get one more card made today so I finished yesterday's challenges lol. But now I need to do dishes and get dinner going and get ready for work
