I still have to package and mail mine. I bet it would be cheaper to drive them over and pay to park. It's not going to fit in the small flat rate and it's going to be heavy!

Just dropped mine off at the Post Office... they should be heading south within the hour! Couldn't quite squeeze them into the small flat rate box, but that's okay. I'm just happy to be able to take part in HYCCT. It's such a great cause.

We could drive them over together. I have wanted to do that but have been too busy all the time. At least gas prices have come down a little lately.

I am going to wait a day or two to send mine because a friend who stamps ask brought me over some cards she had sorted out from her boxes. I had told her a week or two ago what I was stamping for and so she sorted out some card fronts and cards that she didn't need. She is going to bring me some more in the next couple of days. But I guess I could send them off to them any time.

I missed the deadline to post a few more cards, but I will mail them all off to Anderson anyway. Such a great cause and I am proud to be part of SCS. I had looked forward to the challenges, but time got away from me. Thanks Lydia and all you hostesses and good luck to everyone for winning a prize!

Hey there! Even though deadlines may come & may go ... you're welcome to share your creations in the galleries for sure! And, do send them to M.D. Anderson as well.

OK. Made one more. Might be my favorite despite the 11th hour of its making. It will be sent separately as my box was shipped this morning. Anyone else want to join me?
I'm still working...10:12 pm and I have shipshape, kissing, and window to go. AHH! Pulling out the big guns (Cricut!) now to get my shaped card starting...
at least the rest are uploaded, in case I don't make it! doing my tiny part to fill the gallery!

Woo Hoo! You did it! So glad you made it to the party.
I did all my uploading tonight, and I'm guessing I was the last to upload (my family would not be surprised that on a worldwide website, I would be the very last to meet the deadline), and the total count is now 3515!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did it, ladies!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome job from all of you for helping us make our goal of 3500 this year!!! Whoooo hooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm methinks this calls for a celebration! Anyone making cupcakes today??

WOW, that's a lot of cards. I'm wondering what Maggi Suttles office looks like and how she manages them.
I sent mine out a little at a time, so I had three packages throughout the month. I consider the postage a charitable donation and it makes me feel good to be able to do something positive.
I've spent way too much time visiting cancer patients (and so have all of you) and know that while you're there getting any little boost of happiness like these cards is a big deal.
Thank you Splitcoast for the opportunity to put a smile on someone's face. And a big hug to all the participants who made 3000+ cards.
It would be interesting to hear the final # that the center receives as several of you (and myself too) have sent extra cards along in our packages in addition to the ones we linked in the gallery.
Congrats to all of you who kept working til the end and made the deadline!
Now for the bonus fun of prizes!!!
thank you so much to everyone who played along! you can't even begin to know what a difference these cards will make in the lives of the people they are being sent to......
all of you soooooo rock the casbah!
sorry I've been so bad about coming over here to chat with everyone. my radiation treatments haven't been going well, and I've spent more time in bed this month than out of it.... poo on cancer! it's such a nasty beastie...
Big smelly poo poo on the cancer beastie....I'm sad that you have been feeling icky this month...we could make a dart board with a pile of poo poo and load a paint gun with poo colored paint and shoot at it....lol!!
I know this prob sounds sicko to some of you but I'm a nurse...what can I say....heeheee

I imagine her office resembles the scene from Miracle on 34th Street when the post office delivers all the letters addressed to Santa Claus to the courtroom.

I was reading this to my mom & I was giggling, you have to have a sense of humor. Prayers goes out to everyone that needs them.
Congratulations to everyone who participated, whether you made one card or one for each challenge! I sent my last box Tuesday, which happened to be the same day my friend had her last radiation treatment. I've sent her a couple cards since her diagnosis and I'm thinking of a "way to go" card or something like that now that she's done with her treatment.
Got 90 cards packaged to go before I ran out of baggies. I need to get more sandwich bags tomorrow and then I'll mail Tuesday. Or just drive them over. pretty happy! Some of these cards have been in my craft room a long time! Glad they're going to a good home!
