I thought I was going to have a night to myself last night, but I got taken to Wreck-It Ralph with the littles, my DH and some friends. I was pleasantly surprised to find it really fun. Today was house and garden day so I didn't get inky today either, but got to go out on a date night with my hubby so it is all good!
I haven't gone to the movies since I was pregnant with Amelia! Sad, huh? We are definitely having grandma watch the kids so we can see The Hobbit but I don't know if we'll get to see anything else before it hits DVD.
8 more challenges to go! I uploaded all the ones I did through last night. That takes almost as long as stamping, lol! DH is up now (he worked overnight) so hoping to get back to it.

I needed a little break from pink and cards so after I finished my last card last night, I made this wreath. I had been inspired by a couple of wreaths I saw on Pinterest, but the final version is my own design. Amazing what you can do with a little hot glue!

CUTE wreath!
I've been searching for ideas for a fall wreath for my door. I think I might do something with burlap.

Thanks! I saw a really cute burlap wreath at a craft show yesterday; wish I had taken a picture of it. It looked like they cut strips of burlap and tied them around a wreath form. It was very full and fluffy looking.

I spent YEARS with little ones only seeing movies on DVD's! It is fun now that everyone is older....we're down to 3 at home with us....and we can do more out of the house things. I miss the baby season though! My first DD is married now so I'm countin' on grandbabies in the years to come.
I found a handful of cards that somehow escaped getting packed with the last box so I'm going to have to put one more envelope in the mail next week. I sold almost $50 worth of cards last month too....quite a busy card month for me!

Love it!!

I'm in no rush! (Except for her sleeping through the night. I wouldn't mind speeding that part up.) Saves us some money, too! But Middle Earth needs to be seen on the big screen.
I have 8 more challenges to go and I feel like I have NO mojo.

Just got done putting my cards in the completed gallery...goodness, that's not always easy choosing only 1 card for the challenge, I had to ask my DH on a few. I reached my goal of 75 cards...whoo whoo!
Love the cork wreath Michelle.
I had lots of fun again this year & looking forward to the next year. I'm semi got my craft areas back in order. My DH & kids were very supportive too.
I just cleaned all my stamps and cleared off my desk. My mom "commissioned" me to make a dozen candy treat boxes for a holiday luncheon for her friends, so that is my next project!

That is amazing! You can upload more than one per challenge. At least I don't think there is a rule against that.
But Middle Earth needs to be seen on the big screen.
I never got to see any of the LOTR movies on the big screen...that was still during baby phase and DH took the older 3 to see them always on New Year's day or thereabouts each year when they came out. I am going to go to the Hobbit though!
I was hoping to have more time to chat, but a little one and a challenge a day have taken up most of my time. I have one more card to make and I will have done them all! I'm so excited and can't wait to finish. I am happy I'll *hopefully* make my goal. We have 4 month shots for Laila tomorrow so that along with the time change and two stamping events this week are going to make it an interesting week for sure!

You all are amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!!!! I've got all my cards and envies together....so I just gotta get my baggies and a priority box and get them mailed out this week!!!! WoooHooo!!!!!! I WILL spend some time commenting in the gallery this week.....it's FILLED with gorgeousness!!!!!!
::huff, puff:: I'm trying to race to the finish line. Looking back, there are very few people behind me, but we can all make it by Wednesday if we just persevere!
I finished two cards today and am going to try for one more so I only have two to finish tomorrow. I'll try to upload three tonight. I'm looking forward to getting them all done and in the mail so I can get back to browsing and commenting in the galleries... And to participating in other challenges.
Congrats to so many who have already posted all their links in the prize winner thread.

Paula and Makalah, you're doing great. Yes, I agree ... CAS is our friend! I had five to do as of yesterday morning, but finished four, so I only have the last one, which I've been looking forward to making since I first read the challenge. I was tempted to jump ahead and do #31, but stuck to my plan of doing them all in order, which kind of added to the fun for me.
Thanks again to all the hostesses, to the companies who support HYCCT by donating prizes, and to all of you who encourage each other by commenting in the galleries. This is really a high point in the year and I look forward to next year's challenges.
I remember how Lydia 'tortured' us last year by dragging out the prize notifications. So, we've still got that to look forward to. Yay!
I have to take care of some chores and errands this morning, so will be back later with the LAST CARD!!!
I am all done with the cards, now just to upload 12 of them. I have a new appreciation for all who complete the challenges. It is wonderful that some can do more than one in each. I am so grateful that I was able to do one of each. I had already mailed 20 and the rest of the 15 are being mailed today.
Thank you for this wonderful challenge and cause. It stretched my thinking and Hopefully will bring joy to many.
I'd printed pink labels for my hycct cards, and adhered them with temporary xyron.
Okay, here's the deal. I'm cleaning off my desk, and find leftover labels. Why toss them? I rummaged through my stash for cards that hadn't yet been uploaded and would meet hycct challenge criteria, slapped the labels on them, photographed and uploaded. I also edited some of my other recent uploads, if they met the criteria. I'll ship a FIFTH package this afternoon. Just doing my part to reach 3500...

Very pretty wreath! I wonder how people think of all of these things? I am so NOT creative at all! If there was no such thing as casing I'd be in a lot of trouble!

Love your labels! Must feel great to see the word survivor! My mom is finally getting back to feeling more "normal" and is actually training to volunteer at a hospital again. I added extras to my packages too having cleaned out my sample bins since I'm no longer a demo.
To all who are approaching the finish line, hope you can hear the crowds cheering you on.....you can do it!
As a stamper my favorite month of the year has become October. I love participating in the daily HYCCT challenges and supporting such an important cause. A big thank you to the following: all the hostesses for their creative challenges, the sponsors for their generous donation, everyone that left such wonderful comments and Lydia for all of her work.
My cards are going in the mail on Wednesday, because I want to make a few more cards to fill the box.
I finished my last card, uploaded it, and posted my list of cards. I'm No. 57!!!
Congrats to everyone who participated. I'm amazed at how many finished at least one card for every challenge. There's still almost 2 1/2 days to finish.
Now to the task of putting cards and envies in bags and packing to mail. I sure wish I could see the huge pile of cards that MDA will have by the time they get all of them.

Yes, Lydia was good at torturing us that's for sure. It was lots of fun though chatting & seeing who won what.
