Thanks Gail, for pointing out obviousland! I was stuck on this challenge and when I read your post about hearts, I finally got an idea! Got two more cards done tonight, woohoo!
Love them both! Glad the jumpstart helped...sometimes that's all I need too.
I've been working on Theresa's "Read All About It" challenge this morning. I'm a bit stuck on part of my card, but I have a couple of ideas and hope that one of them works!
I must be hormonal or something, but every time I read a story about people enjoying the cards I cry! I'm so happy to be a part of this.
It's Friday night, I'm home for the 13th straight day in a row. I've hit the post-surgical period where you feel like you're not making progress and it's making me cranky. And then I read about someone battling cancer, or who's loved one is sick and I feel pretty darn lucky.
I'm going to have a glass of wine and look at all the beauty in the gallery. Tomorrow I will make some cards, for as long as my neck will allow ...

Vicki, I'm sorry you're struggling with recovery and confinement. You are being brave and hopefully looking at the gallery will brighten your day.
I'm still waiting for my foot to heal. It's amazing how long it takes to do things when you don't feel well. But I made cards for three challenges today so am all caught up again. Whew! I've been trying really hard not to get behind this year as I remember how difficult it was last year to scramble at the end, then get all the photos taken and uploaded.
I'm holding all my cards until the end to mail them (hopefully to save a little postage). So I have this lovely array of cards spread across my piano that I can look at as it grows each day. They will be hard to part with, but since I'm keeping up, I'll try to get them mailed Nov. 1st.
So sorry that I have not been keeping up with commenting. It's difficult for me to sit at the computer very long as I'm supposed to keep my foot elevated. I might just spend most of November commenting.

Val you are a commenting superhero! You don't worry about that!!
I'm almost caught up! I just need a Vital Signs card and then I'm ready for tomorrow.
I'm cracking myself up too because I just finished Cindy's birthday card challenge just in the nick of time to have a card ready for my MIL's birthday party tomorrow.
I'll look soooo organized and prepared - if only they knew!!! LOL

Val - somehow I missed what happened to you!!! I'm sorry you're hurting -- and will say a prayer that you heal quickly and completely!

REFUSING TO HAVE A PITY PARTY!!!!! I don't have it that bad... **new mantra**
Hi Ladies!!! Val I appreciate all of your comments... I am HORRIBLE about it, as there are SO many darn cards that deserve attention and I'm a bit out of it of late....
Hmmm Val, I musta missed your injuries too...so sorry you aren't feeling well....keep that foot elevated...and congrats on keeping up. I'm down 3 but have plans for them so hopefully can get them done tonight or in AM....just in time to go back to work Sun and get behind again....teehee....
Thanks dear friends for your kind comments and prayers. I probably didn't give details about my foot. I'm having a gout flare up in the right foot, bunion and toes area is red and swollen. Can't wear a shoe. Difficult to walk as I can't bend the toes due to the swelling and pain. Feels like barbed wire wrapped around my foot. It's related to my diabetes and some kidney issues. It is improving slowly and should be gone by this time next week - sooner, I hope.
Val, sorry to hear about that. I've heard that it is incredibly painful. Hope that this episode won't last that long. Don't worry about commenting, just take care of yourself. It's funny, I thought the same thing as you, I get such a happy/good feeling seeing the pile of cards I have ready to mail! Really brightens my day to see the stack growing!
Vicki, sorry you aren't healing as fast as you hoped. Take it slow. I hope the glass and wine and gallery browsing brought you some enjoyment last night!
Need to do some more commenting myself. There are SO MANY amazing cards in there already!
How's everyone keeping up? I am behind by 4 challenges and still haven't taken pics nor uploaded the ones I do have done..... LOL Hoping to catch up this weekend!! As for commenting, I haven't even had time to go drool in the gallery yet! I'm definitely going to do that once I get caught up - can't wait to see what you fabulous ladies have been creating!!!!!!!!!
Hey Lydia, what's the count up to now?? Are we closing in on the 3000 mark??
I am behind by 4 I think; I had to make some non-HYCCT cards last night, and made need to make a couple more of those today. Just found out my friend's husband is in ICU with a nasty staph infection, so I have to come up with a guy get well or thinking of you card of some kind.
It's kind of a dreary rainy day here today, so I am going to tackle some chores, then hopefully hit up the stamp table later.
My major activity today was to go to the grocery store with dh -- fun fun. After putting away $200 worth of groceries, it is now nap time for me LOL! No stamina yet...
I have one card that needs to be photographed .. and many more that need to be made.

LMAO! Grocery shopping makes me want a nap withOUT having had surgery!!!
I want to send my prayers out to everyone that needs them. My hubby was teasing our friends that he wanted to take a nap today but couldn't because I was stamping in our room while getting supplies from one room to another...to funny, I said that's why I need my own room.
HeeeHeee.....HaaaaHaaaaa......HoHo.....I'm caught up....at least until tomorrow morn when I'll be at work and then will be 3 days behind again on Wed..LOL!!!!.....But I can hopefully start cruising through the gallery and leave some love....I haven't had time to look much yet...I know there are some wonderful cards there and am anxious to see them....
I'm at a all-weekend crop at a cabin and doing my best to play catch up. I think I have 14 more to go though...eek! now if only we stopped watching movies and ran out of junk food.
Another busy day here too....cleaned house in the AM, grocery shopping in the early afternoon, back with 15 minutes to change clothes and get a wedding card made then out the door to the wedding. Took a little breather with the fam then started on birthday feast preps for tomorrow. We are celebrating my new SIL's and my 12 yo son's birthdays together and with church in the AM that means I had to get it all ready before I went to bed. Late night/early morning so I'm winding down on the computer and heading off to bed. I didn't get my card made for today, but have a couple ideas rattlin' around in my head. Probably won't get anything done til Sunday night then will upload on Monday. It has been really hard to get good photos lately with lots of cloudy Fall weather.

HI Everyone,
I had checked in on the HYCCT link just before we left on vacation and saw that we were starting the first of Oct. We were gone for the first two weeks of Oct so I am way behind to start these challenges. But I will do my best to get them all done.
Just read briefly a few of the chatter entries. I am so sorry to hear of those of you who are having health problems right now. I hope your are well soon, Vicki, Val and anyone else who is not in good health.
I had such a good time last year (my first year to do the challenges) getting to know all the stampers for HYCCT that I want to spend time chatting, but with 17, no 18 cards to catch up I may not be on much. OK, off to church and then I'll see how many cards I can make in one day. Maybe I'll skip work tomorrow and leave it for Tuesday. Then I would have two days in a row to make cards and try to catch up. Yes, that is a good idea.

Hi Pat! Yes -- skipping work to make cards is ALWAYS a good idea!!! Good to see you here!

Ha! My former supervisor used to say this all the time. You totally made me LOL.
I'm consistently 4 challenges behind. I'm hoping to maybe do one more today so that I'll be 3 behind. I switched to doing them in order so that I can remember which ones I need to do. My brain was getting too confused trying to skip around. Vital signs, here I come!
SCS rocks for this and I seriously can't say enough times how much I love participating in this event!

Me too - at this point I'm three behind, but I'm PROCRASTINATING preparing for a live TV shoot tomorrow, and so procrastinating something ELSE usually makes me stamp. Procrastinating stamping makes me do something ELSE.
I am officially caught up! Woohooo! Of course, I won't stay caught up - my mom's coming for a visit so I'll be taking a few days off just before the end. But the more I get done now, the better off I a will be later. I think I need a bit of a break anyway, my cards are starting to all look the same!
Holy moly...... I'm pooped! Just spent 2 hours taking pics and uploading my cards! I uploaded 10 of them, oooof. I thought I was all caught up but nope. Missed today's challenge, so I'll have to get working on that one. But it feels good to ONLY be behind by one now! Hee hee hee!

It's very complicated.
Make sure you link up a video of whatever you're doing on TV so we can see ya! I'm a procrastinator big time and the worst rabbit-trailer ever when I'm cleaning....ya know where ya pick up an item and take it to another room to put it away and find five more things to do in that room and head off from there to another part of the house and when you're "done" you cant tell what you did and forgot completely to ever go back to where you've started!

I started into the challenge late last year and I was able to complete them all. You can do it!!! Just keep them simple and get on a roll and you'll make it!

Hi girls! We survived Sea World! The kids had a good time so it was a success!
I am 13 cards behind, though!!?! And I need to sew about 4 things this week! Sigh. Ok, so going to clear off at least a 12x12 space on my table so I can get something done today.
Hugs and healing thoughts to all who need them!

Good morning ladies....although they posted the challenge early, I can't play until I get home from work. My 2nd box of cards will be mailed today. People call me Night Owl because I never seem to go to bed on time, I'm always up making something.
Good Morning All! Time to get busy as I have 3 cards to make plus a few I need to make for myself! I'm a night owl too and I was up way late Saturday night/Sunday morning getting ready for a bday celebration for my 12yo DS and my new SIL on Sunday. Even though I tried to go to bed early last night I am still feeling whooped this morning....this almost 50yo body just doesn't bounce back like it used to! I was so tired that I went to sleep without my splints on and my right hand is kinda numb today....should make for interesting paper crafting!
