I'm playing the waiting game, too.... haven't heard from either Flourushes or Xyron. I'm trying to be patient, but I'm like the little kid who knows the package under the tree is for her, and can't keep her fingers from loosening the tape to peek inside.

I am waiting to hear about my prize also but I'm not worried about it. I remember last year, it was quite a while before I heard from the Scrapbox people. My prize arrived right after Christmas last year. I think this is a really busy time of year for retail venders -- obviously LOL!

VIcky-still waiting....the DT reveal is tonight around 8 (I'll have to sneak away from church a couple of minutes early or else I'll be late to the party).
Lynn-neither Lois or I has heard from Rubber Cafe, and I haven't heard from Xyron either.
I'm just a waitin' on lots of stuff! Having my monthly "I'm a failure" week so a little good news would be a nice pick me up.
Holy cow, Gail --- you are NOT a failure! I have to share this with you - I was thinking about you this morning. I'm stressing over my daughter's college auditions, right? I thought of you and how you homeschool SIX CHILDREN. Suddenly, my burden didn't seem so bad LOL!

Thanks Vickie. It is the hormonal challenge I face each month where all I can see is the areas where I'm not doing well and have to talk myself out of believing lies that wake me in the middle of the night (accompanying the lovely hot flashes).
Helping high school kids transition into the next phase is an extremely stressful time. Both my oldest 2 had really hard senior years, for my DS it was the summer and thankfully God gave me the grace to be the one who could talk them down. (2nd DS waited until 2 days before he was due to leave for college this summer to tell us he didn't want to go!!!) It is such a tremendous stress for everyone with seemingly huge implications for the future. I had to keep telling myself and the kids that so many people head to college and even head out of college still not knowing exactly what their future jobs, etc will look like. Also, other than to make conversation, when has any adult been questioned about their SAT scores, GPA, or even what school they attended. It is not as important as we allow it to become!
OK, off my soap box. Go moms! We can do it and stretch to meet the needs of all those we're responsible for! Amen!

Love this. I'm just stressing about adjusting to kindergarten next year and checking out at Target without some kind of epic disaster. But you're right. We can do it!

I encourage all the moms I know to try to savour the best parts of each stage of parenting and realize that the challenging parts are temporary (of course, then you get to a new level of challenging with the next stage! but also a new level of joy). I still remember the days of having to take 5 kids with me EVERYWHERE including the grocery store! When my oldest DD turned 12 and was able to babysit the kids it was such a relief. The physical demands of the early years can feel so overwhelming. I was almost 40 when the 6th child came and man could I feel every one of those 40 years!
g'morning
Gail I'm rooting for you too! and so will peek in tonight to see.
I have not heard from Xyron and I did have a few stressed moments wondering ( double thinking it) to think did you delete the mail thinking it was spam and since other people have mentioned it I think I have just not heard anything from them yet. so, that is the thought I am going with.
Have a great day ladies!

It's been six days since Lydia notified the sponsors of the winners. Hopefully they'll get to us soon! I honestly don't remember how long it took to hear from Craft Secrets last year.......
I looked back to last year's thread and I got my package from Gourmet Rubber Stamps 12/19 and we ended the prizes earlier last year. It did seem a long wait then especially when others had their packages much sooner, but I kept trying to be patient as it was a freebie and really icing on the cake for the fun of HYCCT.
I have not heard from Spellbinders and thought I had missed an email in my junk folder although their normal newsletter makes it to my inbox!
Just like Christmas - We must wait for the goodies and be thankful for it when we receive it!

Actually I'm glad you posted - I wanted to let everyone know there will be a little delay on Spellbinders - they are going to ship the prizes to Lori to divvy up and ship out - I'm so sorry for the wait - not long now!
Gail, be kind to yourself - I think it's amazing that you have six kids and can even put a coherent thought together! I had only one and I wasn't sure at times either of us would survive until his 18th birthday!
Sending prayers your way and anxiously waiting for the announcement tonight. Best, best, best wishes!

I just got an email from Flourishes. I can't wait to place my order, although I may wait for awhile... one of the stamps I want is out of stock. Thanks so much to Jan Marie, Sharon, Mike, Julie, Stacy & Theresa for sponsoring the HYCCT Challenges.

Well, I think I got my best friend addicted to card making, she's signed up on SCS & made her first challenge card to make a snowman. Thanks everyone for your great suggestions & now she likes having the computer to search for ideas & inspiration on SCS. Her name is Angie.Lindeen just letting you know.

That's awesome! It's one addiction I don't mind sharing with my friends.

Just wondering if any of the other Copic or Xyron winners have heard anything. I'm not busting chops, really. I'm just afraid that the email may have been dropped in my junk mail folder and I may have deleted it.
I'm waiting to hear from Stampin' Bella too, but I haven't seen that the other winners have heard from them either. I check my junk mail before deleting it though, just to make sure their email didn't get junked.
I ordered some stuff from a Hobby Lobby sale online and got that today: an embossing folder, some glue/adhesives, and very fine glitter - all on sale with free shipping. Saved a trip to the store. (Online sales could put me in the poorhouse pretty quick!)
My MFT order is supposed to arrive tomorrow according to the FedEx tracking monitor! I can sure vouch for the terrific service and fast shipping. I ordered more than my prize. I have never ordered from them before and actually hadn't heard of them....but I'm thinking I am going to like what I chose and most likely order from them again. Glad to hear that for some companies it takes a little while to hear, so I won't be so worried about hearing from Copics then. And yes, it is a busy time of year for companies. A good reminder from Vicki (vdoyle!

I received my new Madison Window Die Cut yesterday from Chick & Savvy, that was the fastest service online ever. The lady even wrote a little note of thanks & sent me a free clear stamp. I told her I'll be ordering from her in the future & I also told her I was one of the prize winners for Chick & Savvy too.
I love Chick & Savvy!!! I just wrote her a note and she recognized me and remembered my birthday because I told my sis I would love some dies from Chic & Savvy for my present!!! That's some sweet personal attention!
Ok, I had a long ways to scroll back and really catch up....and I have to say....you all ARE JUST HILARIOUS!!! I was laughing so hard reading the posts waiting for the grand prize winner to read her prize!!!! You all are a hoot!!!
Count me in with the people who won something but haven't heard from the company yet. I'm sure Simon Says Stamp has been busy with lots of other stuff on their minds, though, since they just joined SCS as a member company.
my dd is a senior in high school --- she got denied into her first choice music school last night and is devastated. Of course, my heart is broken for her. Our children's hurts are so much more painful than our own. We could use a prayer today...
Vicki, I'm sorry to hear this. My older son is a high school junior considering a major in music education. He has his top college choice picked out already. To be honest, I'm not sure if he or I will be more upset if he isn't accepted there.
Is she able to apply to any other schools? Is she looking in state or out of state?
Well, I didn't make it, but Lois did! Congrats to clownmom, Lee-Anne/Shadow's Mom, janellelarson, and va.sunshine.
Oh, Gail, I'm sorry! I know you must be disappointed, and I was really looking forward to "knowing someone in high places" but the two entries of yours that I have seen are terrific, regardless (I saw your entry for round two, I think, on another thread)! And I will add my congratulations to yours to the new team members -

Pat -- she's mainly looking in state. And she has already applied to 6 other schools and adding at least another. I wish she wanted to be an English major.... music is way too subjective for me.

I apologize if I called you by the wrong name and should have called you Patricia --- I have trouble keeping everyone straight!

I am so sorry! I sure will say a prayer! Impossible not to feel their pain most times!!! Will be praying for an unexpected door to open someplace!!!
You got a funny cat Angie! I'm wondering why some people use light boxes, is it for better pictures?
I have a really cheap little camera so the light box really helps make the camera take a sharper picture. Most of my pictures had a yellow tinge without it unless I went out in bright sunlight. Then I couldn't see what I was photographing in the bright light...so my pics would be all crooked...not to mention ridiculous amount of time setting up a place to photograph.
