Vicki its not an email its in their site that if you spend so much you can have this or that and one of them is called triple scoop and I *think* it has something to do with how much you spend. ( I did an order in Oct and received an free set of christmas stamps ) (that was my first time to remember to put the code in )
Whoo Hoo Gail! I was over my friend's house for awhile, only made 1 card but her company was nice. I made a snowflake card & still waiting for the FS still to come out which I'm surprised it's not out yet & it's 11:00.
Hi all, still getting the amazon.com banner ad for the wombat rubber stamp! Hee hee.
Just checking in to say. Hi. Getting our tree today. Too much on the to do list to expect to get any crafting in but it's fun to see what others are doing.
my dd is a senior in high school --- she got denied into her first choice music school last night and is devastated. Of course, my heart is broken for her. Our children's hurts are so much more painful than our own. We could use a prayer today...

My nephew emailed me last night (along with a bunch of other relatives) telling us he got his acceptance letter to the University of his choice. He ony applied to one and he got a small scholarship too!

I tell you, this senior year stuff might just kill me! I'm planning on taking a really lovely vacation with my dh next September -- we will have earned it by then, if we are still alive.

I'm so excited; I made it to round 3 of the CAS DT search! Now to figure out an idea for the final challenge which has me snookered at the moment!
good luck. I'll have to start checking that challenge out. My minds doesn't go to CAS. My head goes right to which pretty papers can I use with what embellies I have. BUT I love the CAS cards so I want to get more comfie with them, especially for holiday cards, so much easier to mail.

ah, that is a shame. I hope she gets into the next choice.
Thanks for all the congrats and wishes for the rest of the DT search challenge. I have an idea now and tried out two cards last night, but I'm hoping to refine and tweak a little today and see which I end up liking best.
If I had to do early AM cards I'd be a pass on it too Bridget!
Vicki I hear you on the Senior year thing....so stressful for all! DD's IBS got diagnosed that fall/winter when she was stressing out over choosing schools. Now she's graduated and going through the stress of trying to find jobs. DS is in his last semester so we'll have him in the same boat soon! (He got almost a full ride scholarship so at least he doesn't have too many loans which is good as I'm pretty sure he's going to end up in grad school soon) He is only 20 so it is a pretty amazing accomplishment!
I wish there was a way to pre-schedule like you can on blogs - hey, Lydia, what are the odds they could come up with a thing-a-ma-jiggie in the programming for doing that??!!
When I post as hostess of the Featured Stamper challenge once a month at 10:00 pm EST, I'm up anyway since I do some night time volunteer work on the third Sat. night of the month.

Vicki, so sorry to hear about your daughter's huge disappointment....
my son just sent off his application for Art and Design Colllege for next September and has his heart absolutely set on it, so I can only imagine how your DD feels and how you must be feeling.

Chris, you should give the CAS challenge a shot, I bet you'd surprise yourself - at first I thought I couldn't do them because of my love affair with mixing dp, but now I just love doing lots of clean white space for a change!

I'd love that, but so far, there's no way. You can pre-post and stage it but it still takes a move. It would make my life sooooo much easier!
Well, two sessions of card design and creation and 5 cards later, I think I have my entry for round 3. I'm hoping for some sunshine tomorrow so I can get a good photo, but I think I'm done. I think it took me 4 cards for round 2, but that was mainly issues with smearing, etc not so much design issues like I had with this one!
Yummy gingerbread in the oven to take to our small group tonight.

Bridget - I will keep my fingers crossed for your son. My dd (who's name is also Bridget) got a pep talk from her vocal teacher and she's a little better today. OY!
We tried to tell her not to pin her hopes on one school -- and since vocal performance is such a difficult program to get into -- to not get her heart set on getting into a music program. It's hard to do that without sounding like you don't believe in them!

Wow you all have a lot going on. I don't envy you the Senior year stuff Vicki! or for that matter the next 4 years or so either. Our oldest got into her first choice school, was doing well, fell in love and moved off to another state so she could be closer to her boyfriend (now husband) and she was supposed to finish school there. But that never happened and now she is kicking herself because she put in 3 years for nothing (and we put in lots of money for nothing - no scholarships for her.) But we do have a wonderful SIL and two sweet grandchildren. And they are worth all the money we spent on college.
Gail - Best of luck for the DT! Be sure to let us see - when you can.
I just had to pop in today and post this link to the cutest video of a cat and a dolphin. If I knew how to put the video up here I would but here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.ph...type=2&theater
I'm headed up to make a few more cards. I did get a couple of the challenges done for this last week. Here they are:Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge
