On the subject of tea: I grew up drinking what they used to call cambric tea-mostly milk and sugar colored with tea-I guess my mom thought I was too young for the caffeine or something. Needless to say, I still like it and my coffee very milky and quite sweet!
I'm off for a while too. I'm speaking at a women's group tonight on Living on Less and need to finish pulling all my random thoughts together somehow! Winning fun prizes is a good way to hold down the craft spending!!! Congrats to all the winners.
I drink my tea plain as well. and when I was at school at Oxford, they would give me a hard time because I also drank it 'weak' compared to everyone else. just another way to harrass the Yank, I think! grins!
Irish Breakfast is my fave morning tea. we bought a neat portable infuser thing for our middle son for Christmas. it infuses the loose tea right into the travel mug. very cool!

I have just polished off a bowl of oatmeal and raspberries and noticed ( I am stiill pages behind) but, mine says there are 124 pages this morning... so it must sort the post numbers differently for us. ( I never thought to check it, I do when Im in the gallery though I do put that one at 96 per page or what ever the biggest number is)

You have your own sort options down at the bottom - some may say last xx number of days - I have mine set to "from the beginning"
Being the nosey type of course I had to check it out. Looks like a fabulous time.
I love to look at stuff. I've brought photos in antique stores of people I don't know. I was an Art History major (looked at slides for 4 years) and can sit in a museum and look at a painting for hours (Guernica - couldn't move away from it), would go to Jersey City and stare at the World Trade Center (obviously before) and the Statue of Liberty. When I say I look at stuff, I really look at stuff. I can spend hours on Pinterest.
Then there's stuff I just don't care to even glance at but people's photos, I'm there.
Congratulations! I recently retired and am loving it!
Me too! Did everyone keep asking you, what are you going to do with yourself? As if, I'm going to do all the stuff I don't have time to do while I'm at work, cause you know they actually want you to do their stuff and not make crafts while you're there. And they frowned on wearing pj's (I used to have nightmares that I showed up at work in pj's).
good morning everyone! hip hip hooray to the latest winners!!!! I am so very excited for all of you! yippppppeeeeeeeee! what fun prizes all of you are winning! woo hoooooo!
I am here at home by my lonesome with my doggies to keep me company. our 2 oldest sons left to go back to school and my hubby & youngest son are off deer hunting. they meet up with my FIL and a bunch of his family at a deer camp in PA every year. it's a big tradition with them that they absolutely love. I used to go with my dad every year until I went off to school.
everyone have a most wonderful day!
p.s. I still say if you like earl grey tea, you need to try the version with lavender. it is so tasty!
where in PA? where our place in the Poconos (Pocono Pines)was used to be a hunting camp, there's still one down the road, or at least there was last time I was there. I loved that spot.

We do them much later over here, they're not even in the shops yet. And that's saying something!! I'll probably put ours up after I finish work on the 22nd Dec, and then it will stay up till 6th Jan which is when they traditionally come down.
Hey, Jennifer, I'm another weak tea person. I'm always afraid I don't know how to make it strong enough for the typical Irish person, LOL. I mean, you see people putting 3 teabags in a pot and I think one makes it too strong to drink! And our teabags are probably stale anyway by the time I need to use them for guests .

I know so little about how this stuff works. I know there are explanations somewhere, I stumbled over some one time, it was like greek, maybe it was greek.
when I get to the forum pages I see all these cute little icons and all I can think is how sweet, they must mean something and I hope I can remember where I left off. Is there a way to mark your spot? Now that would be really helpful to me.
Good morning ladies....wow, you've been busy. Congrats to the newest winners. I'm not feeling good this morning, but managed to come to work because I have to play IT person today.
Both of mine are up - but my decorations are not as elaborate this year. Neck surgery is my excuse
I read on a blog that this woman puts up NINE trees in her home!! She clearly has more space and ambition than I.
Good excuse!!!
I betcha that would be Suzanne Dean with the NINE trees, right? Yup, I read that last year and she showed some pics too. Wow........ I'd love to have that kind of time and energy! I'm doing good to just put a little fake tree (allergies) on the piano and put lights and a few new Hallmark ornies on it. We've had to put a little one on the piano for the last few years because of our wild and crazy and abundantly energetic puppy. We are hoping next year she will calm down enough for us to put the big tree on the floor.
