Ohhhhh prizes are going out!!!!!! I just happened to pop in after lunch while I'm stuck here at work and I see prizes and winners! (Yeah, that's right, I hafta work today while my hubby is off.... hmmmmm that just seems wrong....)
CONGRATS to the first four winners!!! Sharon carries awesome ribbons - you're gonna LOVE them!!!
Then there are the weird road names! I drive to work on one named Mule Academy Road! I'm not sure of its origin, but could come up with some ideas! Wouldn't want to have Lydia bring out the censors, so won't go there!
Wanda, are you familiar with the tiny place called Pkin down in the southern part of our county? I've always wondered how it got its name.
Hi PH in VA! When I googled Stuarts Draft, I found out it's called the Warehouse Capital of the US...didn't know that. I love when I step outside and the air is filled with the aroma of the McKee factory (makes Little Debbie snacks) that smells like brownies baking!
I used to live in Elizabeth, NJ and there was a Berry Biscuits factory in town. Among other things they used to make Girl Scout thin mints. but I know what you mean about the aroma in the air.
Well MI has a town named Hell and I can personally testify that Hell has frozen over!
How is this stuff getting past the censors? I can't even spell the donkey word in a creative way and get away with it.Bwahhaaahaaa. This is a great thread.
And, we could also be the only state with a roadside sign that reads "Eat here and get gas!" That is truly in front of a restaurant and service station!
Indiana is also the headquarters for Vera Bradley
just sayin' there is more than corn and corny towns in Indiana! LOL
I lived for a short time in Fort Wayne; Vera Bradley has (or at least they used to) a big warehouse sale at the Coliseum every year. Talk about a madhouse. VB has some seriously devoted fans.
I'm on the coast about an hour outside of Drain. Can't say I've ever been to Boring...not yet, anyway.
I'm pretty sure I drove through Boring once. But I guy I went to college with actually lived there. He said it lived up to its name.
I grew up near Salem, but went to college in Portland and lived in Bend for a few years.
that photo is hysterical. especially since my cat likes to park his big old butt (yes, Shamey that's right your butt is big) on my desk when I work and he gets nutso every time I break out the twine and ribbons.
why do they insist on sitting where we craft? Right now Storm is in my craft chair. All day long I move her from my craft chair to my computer chair back to my craft chair so I can sit in my computer chair!!! LOL

Well it is a proper noun and a real place... But's that not say that the creative spelling of donkey doesn't make less of a real person, place, or thing
tamales yum-love them-would have a hard time sorting and not sampling (lol)!!

The VB warehouse sale still happens each spring! I've only attended once...omgosh, very serious devoted fans there!
Jean-these towns are near Lancaster PA-have been shopping in both places many times. One theory on how the town got its name is that 2 major roads crossed there. Here is a picture of the town sign intercourse-sign.jpg

I know what you mean. I have to squish PussyWillow into one word or it gets bleeped!

I'm thinking on some May Arts ribbon the Christmas sampler along with some of the two tone ribbon. I ran out of my gingham ribbon so I may re-stock that.
I told DH that a printer is more important that a dishwasher...b/c I can always wash by hand. But I can't print things out. And he suggested that I hold up a piece of paper and trace the digis I needed.
