I have a question for you artists...
One of the kids that I am buying a gift for (part of a home for boys) has requested a drawing pad and sketching stuff....
I can get the pad.. but for sketching... would he want/need pencils, colors and specific brands I should look for?

My daughter is the artist of the family. We buy her pads from Michaels & her pencils there too. We started with this The Complete Drawing & Sketching Pencil Kit
But now she's into the bigger pads & just charcoal pencils.

Not related to this prize list, but I had a little giveaway for my HYCCT challenge, and I just drew those 2 names - makalah and coffeestamper win a free digi from Mo's Digital Pencil!
Congrats to Makalah and Coffeestamper! Thanks for posting the winners here Dina. I've been watching to see who would win your prizes.
Any suggestions on making a few fish Christmas cards for a few vendors? My friend said to use fish, stars & blue but not sure what to do.
If you have the Tasteful Trim die I've seen people make really cute fish with it like on this card
Obviously, I'm home again and back at the computer ready for PRIZES!!!! Congrats to all who've won today.

Hey, you're back! Thanks for the recipe. I'm trying to decide if I'll do something like that, or something like my mom makes, or combine the 2 concepts into my own creation... her recipe has a pineapple ring on the bottom, then a scoop of sweet potato 'filling' (I don't have the recipe in front of me, but it has nuts, a little orange juice, brown sugar and egg, I think?) then the marshmallows on top. Might use those ingredients but mix fresh pineapple in.
That's funny Holly, now you just made me want to watch Sound of Music! My favorite. Not sure unless you're making a card with a deer.
LOL no deer on this card. Just some die cuts, a noel sentiment, pearls, and stickles.... Hmmmmm maybe Julie Andrews whispered in my ear that I need to watch the Sound of Music this weekend??

Thank you for the directions! I would have looked for a long time to find that.
Yippy I won something!!! I haven't been able to be online for a few days because of having parent teacher conferences at school. After several long days and nights it is so nice to see my name in this thread!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our sponsors!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, that's cute. There's another one too. I love the sentiment Jenn suggested too. Thanks!
Congratulations to all the lucky winners -- this is the best!! I love coming on here and seeing all you happy people. Stampers are the best - this group seems to be as happy to see others win as they are to win a prize themselves. Nice!! Kinda restores your faith in human nature...
Today is DH's birthday -- we had a lovely family dinner, which rarely happens. Made my heart sing!

That sounds yummy. Mine is basically like pie without the crust We always make extra and eat it for breakfast for the next couple of days!

Happy Birthday to your DH, Vicki!
I do love seeing peeps win prizes; the sponsors are so giving and it's a joy to "see" the excitement of the winners, not to mention all the cutie cats and dogs that show up in this thread!
I'm doin' the happy dance! My DD and DGS arrived last night from Texas for Thanksgiving with our family. The stay will be too short but it's soooo good to spend time with them.
Wishing everyone a terrific Tuesday evening and a wonderful Wednesday coming up!

I agree! It's not always about winning, me I like giving. It always makes me feel good when I give away my quilted tote bags or quilts as gifts or just sending a card for no reason or making cookies for the guys in our receiving department. It is fun winning though, don't get me wrong.
