Tammie - you asked to see what I came up with for that strange color combo - so here it is - I haven't caught up with reading the thread so I'll go back to page 55 and catch up -
I did not really follow your problems with this card, but it is awesome! well done!

Oh my! That is stunning and gorgeous and beautiful. Just wonderful.
Thanks all of you, so much! I'm so grateful I found SCS. Everyone is so kind, and it's been great to get to know a little about y'all from this thread. Some of you absolutely blow me away with all you accomplish in a day! I don't know if I'm old, tired, or lazy, but I don't think I could keep up with most of you (and REALLY glad I don't have to!)
BTW has anyone heard a peep out of KJ since she snuck upstairs with Raul?

Craftwise, right now I'm experimenting with Perfect Pearls and a mask - but I like better the second"reverse" background I made to use up all the excess pearls on the mask than the first one which was what I'd intended. Now I need a nice panda stamp to set in my bamboo forest!
Wow, this sounds like so much fun. I would luv to see it when your done!
Rushed photos this morning because I know I won't be home till after dark, so they're edited on the laptop which isn't my first choice. And Perfect Pearls are always better IRL . DH really likes the green one, which was my first one. Paper sponged with greens, then I taped the mask on, wiped Perfect Medium all over it and brushed Perfect Pearls into the gaps. Because there was so much Medium on the mask too, it was almost totally coated in the Perfect Pearls, so I taped another sheet of paper sponged with Versamark to it and ran it through the Wizard to help the Pearls transfer from the mask to the paper.

my last bunch of cards I sold on line ( a year ago Halloween to a gal in Spain... the mail did not bother to deliver them to her until this years Easter) so... maybe ask where she lives too? ( like in what country) I've been told from our local PO that mailing to Spain and Italy are sometimes ( they never know it will get delivered)
Well done on selling so much in your booth, Stacy, that sounds like a worthwhile investment of your time when you think of all the stamps you can get!! Glad to hear the Thanksgiving ones sold in the end .
Spain, oh yes!! Even from here mail to Spain is terrible. I have friends there both permanent residents and second-homers, and I need to send birthday/Christmas cards so far in advance, and even then they don't always arrive, so sometimes I just go electronic to ensure a definite delivery. I never had trouble with Italy, though - used to have a regular correspondence going with a friend teaching down in the South.

Beautiful! You used all the colors and created a lovely setting for the bird couple.

Tammie, My daughter used to live in Oregon and when we would be there, one of her neighbors would bring over fresh salmon for us. It was soooooo good and we really appreciated it. She does not live there anymore and I miss that! Salmon is my best and Chili's has very good salmon!
I give his fish away all the time (he knows, of course!). I give all the jacks to my buddies and he keeps the rest to smoke...then I give that away too! LOL! He has a salmon dip/spread thingy that everyone seems to love. Ick! Actually, his smoked salmon makes for pretty good Christmas gifts. Everyone seems to love it anyway.

Thanks, Brenda! I really struggled with the silver and ivory, but I really am pleased with it. Now to build a box - but that's for tomorrow!
I did this card/box combo for hubby's niece when she got married this summer (her colors were shades of purple). It was a fun project and the box top has the bride and grooms names, the date and just a few things to tie the box to the card like ribbon and a rose or two.

Hope y'all are having a blessed Sunday and a creative weekend.
I know for some the weekend is the only time to get creative cause the work week is so CRAZY.
This weekend DH and I are trying to finish my office. He won't do any touch up painting but he is willing to hang things up and make desks and install shelving for me. Yee haw!
I can't remember who posted the strips/quilted background tutorial link (and I'm too lazy to go back and look)...but thanks! What an awesome technique and I can't wait to give it a try!

those thumbnails don't give you hint of the pretty pages they are. I have some of the perfect medium, I had pulled it out thinking I might be a nice touch for a Christmas card, these give me some more reason to stop looking at them and start using them.

WOW, no one gave me anything as beautiful as this. I'd have that out on display but maybe in a spot that you could see it but not touch it, don't want grubby little fingers dirtying up all that beautiful white.
Our Craft Lounge has a nice golf set called Golfin Gramps (illustrated by Marianne Walker from Copic & I Like Markers blog). Memories of Time has the set and I think there might still be a store-wide discount if you use the code checkusout or checkmeout. I can't remember how much the discount is, but I think it might be the first code. If you're interested, I can text Michelle and find out for sure if there is a discount and how much it is.

It's also very similar (only it looks easier!) to the Herringbone technique - there's a tutorial for that in resources. Only somehow I never seem to have scraps and always have to cut some from scratch .

Good Morning ladies!!!! Tonight is my Monday... so I'm kinda being a slug... oh wait, I did that yesterday too!!!
I plunked around in my craft room yesterday and made sample swatches of my embossing folders, strung them up and also got my folders organized again. Waiting to put them into a folder so flipping is much easier. I put away several stamp sets and need more label tape to put away the rest. Of course that just means I need to order more CD Cases!!! LOL
Thanks, KelliJo! So how was Raul's first time? Were you gentle with him?
I just couldn't make myself do it!!!!! I mean, he's SO PERFECT.... lol I actually got started on a card got into a fight with it and walked away... it was NOT a crafty kinda day!!!! I HATE that when I have limited time off.... lol
Oh no! LOL! Well, I guess it doesn't hurt to play hard to get and just flirt with him for a while before breaking him in. He might appreciate a woman that takes her time! *snort*
I hope you have a craftier day today!

I guess I'm headed out of here... Cowboys are playing and it isn't REAL promising looking... Ducks lost last night (BUMMER) so I gotta get stuff ready for work tonight....
Later Peeps!!! Be Good and have a great rest of the weekend!!!!
Hi everyone! I am back after a great weekend with my daughter. We just said goodbye so she can start her 5 hour drive back to university. At least the weather is good and her boyfriend came with her, so they have 2 drivers. I hope everyone is having a good day.
