I do plan to make some dressing just for myself as that is the best part of Thanksgiving dinner imho. This year I can't put pork sausage in it though (because of the gout) so I'm not too sure how it will turn out. I'll be using veggie broth rather than chicken broth for moistening. I'm planning on adding A LOT of herbs.
Dressing (or stuffing, depending on where you live?) is my absolute favorite part of Thanksgiving. I hope yours is delicious, even minus the pork and chicken broth.

I recently learned that "stuffing" is when it's cooked inside the bird. "Dressing" is when it's cooked separate. Same ingredients.
I'm going to be up all night working on those two projects that I have not been working on since sitting down to "check in" on this thread ... over an hour ago.

Maybe you'll be like Lee the first year. She didn't win anything until the very last, grandest prize! You certainly deserve it! You rocked HYCCT like no one else this year!

(1) I need to get the Card Ministry assignments sent out. We have thirteen writers. I go through the church prayer list, birthday list, etc. and gather about 35-40 names of people to send cards to each week. Then I send an email to the writers with their assignments. It sounds simple, but actually takes from 4-5 hours each week. I try to get it done Thursday, but usually don't get it sent until late Friday.
(2) I need to prepare my Sunday School lesson to teach on Sunday. I usually finish it on Saturday, but have to go to a funeral tomorrow morning as well as some other errands, so I really need to get the lesson mostly finished today. Throughout the week, this usually takes up to 8 hours total to read, study, contemplate, research, and type, including thinking of ways to get the ladies involved in a discussion.

Awwww, thank you Paula. That would be nice wouldn't it?

Card ministry assignments sounds like a great idea. I normally pick as many as I can and send them cards out. I'll have to think about this idea a little more. Thanks for the idea.

Feel free to send me a message with questions. I'm the director. We have a total of 13 writers including myself, 5 designers, and about 50 church ladies who sometimes come to the quarterly meetings. (Usually only about 18 show up at any given meeting, but 50+ on my contact list.) We send out about 450+ cards per quarter.
Off to make supper for tonight and some baked beans for my DH and DD to take to tailgate at the Michigan game tomorrow. They are so psyched to be heading to the Big House to cheer on their team.
