I wish you live close to me. I would luv to have you over!! I remember in the early days I use to have my sis, mom, bil, her 2 kids, my bil, brother, etc here and I absolutely luv'd it. I miss having lots of people over, of course, my small house won't hold too many. lol
Thanks Sherry. Our family dinner was always a small group. My Dad didn't like "outsiders" although my Mom would have been happy to have the whole neighborhood. I once invited my boyfriend, assuming that he would be welcome, but my Dad said NO! Arrrgh!
Awwwww!!!!! I would have you over my friend!!!! I HATE Thanksgiving/Turkey so we have Lasagne!!! I have only had 4 Thanksgiving's off since I graduated high school in '87 and only 3 Christmas's off.... Holidays in a shift family just kinda happen when they can!!!!
Thanks KelliJo. We don't always celebrate on "the" day as our schedules don't often work that well. We might celebrate birthdays sometime in the next 30 days. We have celebrated Christmas as late as Jan. 23rd (the year my Mom was in the hospital for 3 weeks.) Jeanette (dd) and I try to celebrate Christmas within a week of Dec. 25th.

Yup, pending weekends is how our schedule rolls... of course Birthdays are usually that way anyway with kids in school etc...

Our family has done the Christmas early/late too depending if out of town family was coming and when they could arrive. Growing up my step-dad was a fire captain so we'd usually be late within a few days due to his shift work.

Sing it, sister! I was in town last night (late night shopping here) to meet DH, and with a lot of pre-Christmas sales it was way too busy for me - I was all hot and bothered by the time I met him. I spotted one thing I'd like, and came home and ordered it online at the sale price with free delivery .
Checking in and out again because I have a headache and feel totally bleah. I think bed is the only sensible option...
Have a great evening.
Sorry your head hurts Sabrina. Get some rest. [[[[hugs]]]]

I'd prefer to do it January 3rd or so... post Christmas sales, pre tax/inventory sales... yep! WAY better score than Black Friday!!! This chick is BROKE! lol
Black Friday is a no-buy day for me. I realize there's some fabulous sales, and consumer frenzy is hard for me to understand the day after we celebrate abundance. So. No purchases.
