At least you got to go. It's pretty remote so a lot of people hesitate to make the trip. I love to read books about places I'm going or have been to as well.
We stayed at a really cool guest ranch out there, not far from the park on a windy road in a canyon. Red River Canyon Resort or something like that. The most beautiful view sitting at dinner over the river at sunset. Awesome.
I'm trying to figure out what to put in it! Vicki - help me!!
Lydia -- I remember standing in front of it and not knowing where to start!! But once I got going, I was fine. Start with the stuff you can't access easily - for me that was ribbon. My ribbon was in a gazillion different places.

I know the place but have never stayed there. Have always been curious. Thanks for the recommendation. Did you go anyplace else or just Moab?
just popping in during a lunch break....even stay at home moms are busy and need a breather!
I think you should substitute ESPECIALLY for the word even! I had a couple over for lunch (along with my 8 plus a SIL, a girlfriend and 3 extras) with their 2 1/2 yo and 10mon. old sons....I'd forgotten how hard it is when they're so little! You need a breather indeed....and a latte or tea wouldn't hurt either!

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to run to town to the PO and the store....I only need a couple things....it will only take an hour and a half or so......y'all can wait!
I'll check back later. My dd and I are going for a little hike with our cameras. We are having high wind warnings so it's a stupid time to try to shoot but we can use the exercise .. good luck all!

Can we please hear about the winners before our (Austin, TX) area gets hit with the freeze warning tonight?
I remember back in the day.... ahem.... a FEW years back when it snowed while hubster and I were students at UT. we were planning our wedding and he was coming over to my condo that Friday night so we could go over a ton of stuff. classes were cancelled that afternoon and shuttles stopped running. he ended up walking down I35, which was closed because of all the snow, and we met halfway, both of us walking. it took us hours, but we didn't care 'cause we was in LUV!
now we live smack dab in the heart of snow country in Ohio, just a few hundred or so miles away!, getting over 150" of snow every winter. too funny to think back on those days now....
congrats to the first winner, stampercamper! hooray!
good golly gosh, 79 comments?! that is phenom fabby!!!! I've not had that many views on a card, much less that many comments! congrats to you, SWLdebbie!!!!
