just stopping in to wish everyone a most lovely day!
have been feeling pretty yuck from my radiation burns and seizures, so haven't been online. but think of my online friends often and thank all of you for all you have done for those like myself going through cancer treatments. the cards make such a huge impact, truly! have someone give YOU a big ol' hug 'cause you are FABULOUS!
He had been a dairy farmer and my Grandma raised FIFTEEN kids with my dad being the oldest of the family. She did all kinds of sewing and made quilts and coiled rag baskets as well as rugs. When each of us grandkids graduated from high school we got a quilt as did our first child! She was my role model and I wish she had lived to see my whole family. She did her quilting in the winters while grandpa cracked the walnuts he'd collected from farms all over their county. Here's a picture of her working on a rug with her arthritis-gnarled hands.
Gail, you are so lucky to have such memories of your Grandparents. By the time I was 8, I no longer had any grandma's! Enjoy your memories - the picture is great!
Gail, my grandma from Wisconsin was also from a large Irish family- and made me a knitted blanket for college. I still use it (with a few repairs) over 30 years later! What a great cook she was

First thing I did when I got to work today was dump coffee all over myself. I think my day would improve dramatically if Lydia gave out a bunch of prizes this afternoon. Just sayin.

Oh boo, for dumping coffee all over yourself. That is one of the worst ways to start your day! I hope things improve in a hurry!

Has anyone heard from Lydia?
As I was driving last night, I tried to open up a new water bottle, once I got the lid loosened, well I squeezed the water right of the bottle & needless to say my DH asked why my jeans were wet when I came home.

I have done that before, too!
The worst thing about spilling coffee - aside from the actual stain - is that the smell lingers! I might have to go home at lunch and change. At least it's only 10 minutes away!

THAT I can do. Get the coffee smell out of your jeans not so much!
One day at work I put my latte on the top of my Yukon and I guess the engine was vibrating the car just enough that it slid down off the edge and dumped right on my head. That was an awesome day.

Yay for more winners!!!!
My day is improving rapidly. Along with happy stampers and kitties, I just found out I don't have to work on Thanksgiving!!!! I was totally dreading it and was feeling sad about missing my annual dinner with my cousins - my closest family down here. Now I am super happy!
