My whole family was/is pack rats from my parents to me to my daughter. And my daughter and I are in competition for the title of Procrastination Queen. In fact, I'm in the process of procrastinating at this very moment!
Gee I thought that was MY title!!

In order to shoot the inside of my closet, I'd have to move what's OUTSIDE the closet out from in front of the doors. Admittedly, this is temporary stuff since it's my files for prepping the class I'm teaching spring semester, and they won't be there forever.
Then I'd have to remove the clutter that's on the floor in front of the nicely organized boxes. I guess I could manage to do that...

Hey, I've got a closet like that! Sometimes I can only open the door partway and stretch my arm inside to find something. Actually that closet is fairly well organized and even indexed as I have a list on the computer of what's in the various boxes. It's a shallow closet packed floor to ceiling. But it still isn't much to look at.
Finally getting a chance to play with some of my new toys compliments of my HYCCT winnings from MFT!! This is a card I made using the Plentiful Petals die set.

Oh wow, I'm glad it's not just me. I ordered an ink pad organizer from the sponsor who emailed me the winning code, and it hasn't come in yet. I'm thinking it's been well over a month now. I'm trying to stay positive and think well maybe they had to go cut the wood and assemble the thing from scratch?

Rotten news today; my mom's breast cancer has spread into her spine. She's been having pain the last few weeks and when they finally xrayed her they found a fractured vertebrae. Stinkin' cancer. On a positive note her wound from her failed implant from last spring has FINALLY healed and she was able to head back to her water aerobics class today.

Oh Gail - I'm so sorry! Cancer sucks. I will remember your mom in prayer.
I bet she was delighted to go back to water aerobics. I did water aerobics for years with a fabulous bunch of older ladies -- I loved them to pieces. At the time, we were discovering that my own mother had significant dementia -- those ladies took over mothering me at a time I really needed it. Those ladies guided me through parenting my own kids and dealing with aging parents. They were the bomb! My point is - that class was so tight knit - I'm hoping your mom's is also. The support is terrific.

Her group of ladies has been great and they've seen each other through lots of things! I also had a chance to water walk for a few years with a fun group of older ladies....they were great support for each other too! Thanks for your prayers.

Hugs and prayers. Glad she has healed so she can go back to water aerobics. I imagine that feels nice!

So sorry to hear that your mom's cancer has spread. On my prayer list.
Thanks everyone. Mom had a brain MRI and some other lab tests etc and everything came back with no signs of further metastasis. She will start shots to regrow the bone (which also helps knock out the cancer I think) and a couple of weeks of radiation treatments. My mom is a strong believer and is handling it all with grace and strength; I just hope that this is the last setback in a long series of them.

oh my gosh, Gail, I am so very sorry to hear this news about your mom. I will be saying lots and lots of prayers for not only her, but your entire family. I know this has knocked all of you sideways. cancer is such a stinky beastie.
I apologize for not being around in so long.
after my radiation treatments finished, it took me forever to heal from the horrible burns. now I have developed radiation poisoning, so am trying to recover from that. my poor dr. was almost as upset giving me the news last week as when he first gave me my cancer diagnosis. I've lost 4 or 5 teeth in the past 2 weeks alone. it's a long, long road, but am so thankful for the amazing people who have been cheering me along. thank you to each of you!
anyhow, I received quite the lovely surprise to discover I had won a prize afterall! last time I had looked at the list, which I confess was toward the beginning of the giveaways, my name wasn't on it. thank you so much to Lydia, all of the fab sponsors, EACH of you, and Copic. I'm excited for my markers to arrive so I can play (and HOPEFULLY get better!!!!) in 2013!
may each of you find that this year is overflowing with blessings and joy!
Jennifer, So sorry that you've had so many adverse effects from the radiation. Sometimes I think the treatment is as bad as the disease itself. Hope your body quickly recovers and repairs from all the trauma. Praying for you today!
Thanks for your prayers for my mom and all the rest of us. I'll admit that I was steeling myself for more bad news as at every previous juncture she has had a worst case scenario turn up. I was pleasantly surprised when she got the news about no other metastasis.

Looks like fun!!! Every time I see "Rubber cafe" my heart jumps and I think, "Oh someone has received news and then I realize it's RUBBER not "Gourmet Rubber Stamps".
Is that a fence die? You will love it! I just used a fence die today. Oooohh So cute!
Yep, it is a fence die which they mentioned can also be used for rosettes. There was a bundle available with it, but I decided that I wanted to order a few different stamps instead. Can't wait to play, but have a retreat this weekend. I really should be downstairs cutting out some stuff that we'll use to make some thank you notes.
