I'm just popping in to wish you all a Merry Christmas. My family is filled with mixed feelings - my father in law is dying. He's elderly and in poor health, but somehow that doesn't make it much better... so a unbridled celebration seems wrong.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday - and hope that you are with the people that mean the most to you!
Everyone will more than likely be running around so I wanted to take this minute to wish EACH OF YOU... a VERY Merry Christmas!!!!
I say it all the time, but, I TRULY MEAN IT!!!! If it weren't for my Stamping Peeps, my world would SUCK!!!!! I LOVE coming here and chatting with my friends!!! LOVE YA ALL!!!! and God Bless!!!!!
Just popping in here to wish you all a very peaceful and meaningful Christmas with your loved ones! With special thoughts for you, Vicki, and for others who are going through or have gone through loss, bereavement or difficult times this year...

Hello, everyone, and Merry Christmas! We have spent the last few days getting ready for a houseguest who will be with us until April, when she travels to Israel with a missionary family. We had to clean the attic before we could move all the "stuff" accumulated in the closet over the last twenty years. Honestly, it's amazing what we once thought we couldn't live without, isn't it?
I sincerely wish a blessed and peaceful holiday to you all! It feels like I have made dozens of new friends here and I thank all of you for sharing your skills and being such an inspiration!

Our Christmas is basically over. DH is tucked in bed as he gets up at 3:30 Christmas morning to start his work week. So where am I .....scouting around SCS reading posts and feeling warm and fuzzy at all the creativity and the friends I have made this year! Thank you Lydia for all your hard work to give so many of us a Creative fun place to hang out!!!!
Good afternoon ladies! I'm planning on ordering Tombo Mono Refills in bulk but haven't before and I was wondering if any of you buy yours in bulk and if so what company you purchase them from? I'm always trying to hunt up coupons for refills (the three packs at Michaels) and my husband's been saying "why don't you just order them in bulk" so.....
I'm wanting to find a good deal on TH tattered poinsettias. I know Joanns has the tattered florals on sale, but they don't seem to have the poinsettias. Anyone find those?
WOW! What an awesome buy! Have fun - love the poinsettia...
Big blizzard here. I am hoping the roads are clear enough for us to travel to my FIL's wake & funeral - we have a four-hour trip.
Vicki, I know you mentioned the other day that your FIL was not doing well. So sorry that you family had to experience his passing during the holidays. I'm praying for clear roads and safe travel.
Wow! That is a good buy at Michael's. I don't think mine had the poinsettias, but I might stop by tomorrow to check. (Not that I need to buy anything else this year!)
I'm finally back at home again after traveling to be with both or our families. Spent so much of the day catching up with groceries, etc that I haven't had time to stamp yet.

Welcome home Gail. That's the thing about travel. When you get home you have to catch up, then you need to rest from the travel and the catching up.

Glad you had the chance to spend your holiday with families, pretty soon you'll be back & start stamping again. I haven't stamped since last Friday only because I just finished a quilt, maybe tonight I'll get the mojo back.

Val, Michaels also had Spellbinder snowflakes (7) & the tree with 2 ornaments (3) but I went back yesterday as I thought about compulsive buying & put both back....urgh.
Connie... I think it depends on if you would use them or not? that is a very good price for them if you will use them. its still spendy for them to live rent free in your craft room if you just dust them...

Diane did you check the Sizzix site??? They have a sale right now too!!!
Diane!!!!! LOOKIE what I did yesterday... NOT sure that I like it as it looks like I have NO STAMPS now... lol But...
My stamps are NOW in the binders I had!!!!! I still have a few more to get done... but HOLY COW!!! Look at all that shelf space!
Wow Wow wow what a cool craft room!!! Check out all those ribbon carousels!!!! I like your shelves in black!
My craft room has been used for dozens of things since we moved here the latest is craft/computer room. My DH made us these HUGE shelves when we first bought the house. Since this is a very small room we painted them the same color as the walls to keep the room as large as possible. I am sick of the BRIGHT yellow in here (not quite school bus yellow....but it's close!!!) I want to paint in here soon. I like the idea of making black book shelves.... We live in the south and it takes a LONG time for paint to cure. Any one have any ideas on what i could do with my stuff while the paint cures on the shelves...shelves are not movable by the way. I need to get to my craft items on a daily basis.

Is it due to humidity? Maybe look into the Marine Paint, it's made for boats, but cures pretty quick... SMELLS BAD!!!!! It should be cured in 24 hours!!!!! I don't think it needs special prep since it's not gonna float!

hmmmmm...I will look into that and make sure that I paint on a day I can keep windows open.
I am guessing it is the humidity. All I know is that things can stick to the painted shelves WEEKS later!!!! I could also ask the paint store if they recommend anything...you have me thinking now!

YAY!!! Yea when I painted stuff during the Summer I would set it in the sun to dry, thinking that was the smartest place... I don't know if it's chemically altered or what but... apparently that rule of over ???* is there for a reason! LOL
So, KJ, are your stamps in univenture type binders? That's what it looks like on your shelves. And I assume you still have some in CD cases? Or am I totally off base?

Looks wonderful!
Yes, those are the binders... I ran out... The CD Cases are how I DID have them stored!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! but, miss SEEING them all on display! lol I still have to stamp the sheets so I know what sentiments I have... images are easy... I pretty much know those by heart!!!
I found a site where I can get more for $5.99 though... the BIG ones!!!!
I used to know what images I have but now I have so many stamps that I found a LOT of forgotten images when I changed my storage scheme over to EVERYTHING by theme. That meant breaking up my sets I'm not done with that project but so far I really like the results. We'll see how it goes long-term.
If you want to see my crafty room, I just posted a tour in my gallery. LOTS of pictures!
Love your crafts spaces ladies. I don't have a dedicated space (or place to work for that matter) but my dream vacation is for my husband to take the kids someplace for a week so I can stay home an organize.

LOL! It doesn't hurt us once in a while to show a little restraint. I never stopped to check out the sale at Michaels as I thought I had spent enough in the past few weeks. I still have orders that I'm waiting for from 4 places, and only one of those was for a HYCCT prize.

KelliJo, Your storage space looks terrific! My eye was drawn to all the things in bottles and jars! It all looks so inviting; a great place to work; can I come and play at your house?
Diane, I'll go look at your gallery to see your craft space. I'd have to come in with a bulldozer to clear everything out before I could do any major organizing here. However, I do have a pretty good grasp of what I have. I can't remember if I ever purchased a duplicate stamp. I have two friends who only have a small fraction of what I do, and they are always buying duplicates.
I used to have all my images, punches and dies cataloged, but got behind for awhile, then it got so out of control that it would take weeks to catch up - especially with all the new stuff I've received / ordered in the past few weeks. What makes it a little more difficult is that I have MY stuff and stuff that belongs to the church for the Card Ministry. I do a pretty good job of keeping them separate and marked (VER or CM) but I'd almost have to have two catalogs. If (when) I die, I won't care if the heir to the Card Ministry stuff also gets my stuff. My daughter might want a few things, but not much.

I went to your gallery! So much fun to see all the organization! I like the little touches you have of the stuffed bears etc!!!

Diane, I just took a thorough tour through your Craft Space photos in your gallery and sent you a long PM. I am so amazed at how organized you are and have marked one of the photos as a fav so I can go back and check them all for future organization ideas. Thanks for much for sharing!
