Stacy, I think your inspiration challenge was a good one. I didn't get to play in very many challenges because of ... life got busy! I just totally collapsed in my recliner when I got home from church this afternoon. I'm awake now, but still a little foggy. There are at least 2 or 3 challenges that I want to do before the deadline.
And speaking of picking an off-the-wall topic, my napkin challenge didn't attract a lot of people either. I just assumed that everyone had fancy napkins in their homes. The next time they ask me to do a challenge, I'm going to pick something more basic - like a sketch. That is, if they ever ask me again. LOL!
lol
they have calls out for the next one... bugs
ETA: I "used" to do fancy scrub every inch of your house and plan every bite and detail parties through out the year ... So, I used to have fancy napkins... my grandma always did that. collected the cool ones so I used to in my martha days...
martha doesn't live here anymore.

One of the prizes I chose from The Rubber Cafe was the Spellbinders A2 Polka Dot dies. Here's the card I made today for several challenges -- the Color (no color) Challenge and two of the Fan Club challenges.

Stacy -- you crack me up!! Martha doesn't live at my house any more either... I used to bake all my own bread, for heaven's sake! My kids used to BEG for pizza hut pizza because they only got homemade. LOL

I received my package from The Greeting Farm yesterday and my Spellbinders prize today. Thanks again to all our sponsors! I can't wait to use my new goodies, but they will probably have to wait until after Christmas - just too much going on right now!
I got my Rubber Cafe goodies today. Used my prize for some supplies and new toys, but just had to add a gorgeous stamp set on top. I'll post a pic soon (hopefully!). Gonna have to practice masking and using my stamp positioner, though. There may be some of that "old dogs - new tricks" thing going on around here.

I have a friend I call Martha, Jr. I swear I wanted us to marry her so there would be someone around to do all that fancy stuff! It's a sure bet I'm not going to!!!

yeppers... so, tonight we had ham and potato soup ( from scratch...)
hey I once bought a dry mix thing... ( kid won't eat it... )
worst part is... there are a couple more of them in the cupboard.
but, he actually begged me to buy something called un-crustables
( frozen sandwiches with no crusts...) since he is a teen with a job I did mention what those 4 tiny sandwiches cost and he has not asked for them again. ( I guess they used to serve them at school and he has mostly brown-bagged it his whole life.) high school I think is more ala cart with the junk food so he's tried a lot of it now.

I got my Sweet n Sassy prize last night. Of course I had to add to it so I have 4 new stamp sets...all by Dina! And I got 2 dies. It would have been 3 but the fence and grass one was still out.
I probably won't have time to play until after Christmas, though!
whats the difference between a big shot pro with standard accessories and a big shot pro with extended accessories ( besides 50.00) ?
( would I need the extended thing? it sounds like this machine is big enough on its own to cut 12" paper if you wanted to right?...
I know somebody has to have this but I don't remember who to pester about it tia.
I think the extended accessories is the REALLY long pads for the REALLY LONG dies... If you are ordering it, MAKE SURE you get the THINK DIE shim.... I didn't and was cranking my cuttlebug (Big shot Express was packed up). Keep your old BS Pads and use them to save wear and tear on your new pads... and the Tray is NOT A CUTTING SURFACE... yes it's written on there but really who reads???
I have a cuttlebug and a grand caliber and so I was thinking this would be nice to have one that cuts everything.. but, they have this package deal that's cheaper than just a machine but, I dont know if its missing parts to be played with?
I gotta go dry my hair the rest of the way and drop off the truck at the dealer. ( it has computer chips somehow in the tires or wheels for air info I guess) so, I'm getting winter tires there today... will peek in later from work ( since I will be a captive audience haha)
Have a good day ladies!

Bwwaahaha!!! She would never have wanted to even visit my house, let alone live here. We do tend to re-prioritize as the years go by, don't we? Somehow having a showcase house isn't all that important for many of us anymore.

My Rubber Cafe prize arrived today! Super fast shipping - I just placed the order on Friday! My Spellbinders prize also came today (and there were no bills or junk mail in my mailbox) - happy, happy mail day!
Thank you Rubber Cafe and Spellbinders for supporting HYCCT! You rock!
Was just checking on here to see if anyone had heard. I am fine with it since no one else has either! Just don't want to accidentally delete an email!!! This time of year.....kind of crazy....was hoping I hadn't accidentally hit the delete button!
With 30% off, that sounds like a great price. But what does it cut that a Cuttlebug doesn't? I've never considered getting a Big Shot but eventually my little green bug will wear out, though I've had it since it first came out and all I've replaced were the thin plates. Snapped one when I used an incorrect sandwich. Been thinking of getting the extended parts. I don't have too many long dies though so it seems like an extravagance.

has anyone being contacted by Faber Castell, i know i have not received any info from them.
Glad I checked this thread before "bugging" Lydia! I have not been contacted by Faber Castell either. I was a little concerned because there was a change to my email spam filter recently. Hoping their email didn't disappear into Spam-land!!

this thread has been wonderful for so many reasons...but this is an added benefit to get to see who has heard without bugging anyone!
I sure know what you mean about being nervous about the email disappearing into spam land...or somewhere else. I was worried I had hit delete...cuz my brain is a bit woozy from all this hurrying scurrying Happy Holiday stuff!!!
I received my happy Mail from Lori Craig today with some spellbinders dies... I just wanted to say thank you again to Lori and Spellbinders for donating this year... Spellbinders are awesome... I'm sorry for everyone that is still waiting for their e-mails from other companies.. I hope you hear something very soon. Happy Holidays to everyone

It can be your ONE MACHINE, Machine... it takes the Grand Calibur, TH Dies, Sizzix Dies, thin dies (spellbinders, dienamics etc...) it takes up to a 12x12 piece of paper. It will take the embossing folders etc... there's nuttin this guy can't handle!!!!
the reason's KelliJo mentioned are why I am considering it... catcrazy ( Janice) is already on her second 'bug... and as much as I use mine I suspect i will kill it one of these days, Ive had the handle come off twice now but luckily hubs had the metric tool to get it back on. ( its not a regular screw) that and the idea of being able to put a big sheet of paper in it and fill it with dies sounds like a lot less cranking to me too.
my cuttlebug does not like those XL sizzix dies or the 5X7 sized embossing folders very well so I got a grand caliber. ( its nice... but it only cuts skinny nesties type dies...) so, since I have quite a few sizzix steel ruled ones I think it would take up less space in my room to have just one machine.
I could take my bug to work for granting wishes and such and get rid of the caliber. ( I think Ive used it maybe 6 times in the year or two Ive had it so it would not be a huge loss. I looked at the big shots but, I think that sizzix makes dies that are so big they do not fit in the regular big shot they need the pro machine. so, its tempting... I emailed hubs the link and the coupon code...

Oh my I am tired! I've made three batches of cookies, a pan of fudge and a batch of mini banana bread loaves this week. I am almost done with a batch of peanut butter balls and then my holiday baking is done! I really wanted to do it this year, but forgot how much work it is! Two more days of work and I am on vacation for a week and headed to see my family! I can't wait.
If I don't get a chance to stop in again before Christmas, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. I'll be back in the New Year, hopefully with some projects to share with my prize winnings!
