Good morning! (well, it's still morning here, anyway!)
Wasn't ready to go back to work at all, but I'm here anyway.
I'm more CAS than not, but have never tried out for the DT. Good luck to all who are giving it a shot!
I love the coffee Mona Lisa. Though if she were here, I'd probably drink one of those cups. I just finished my coffee and feel like I could use another jolt.
I was very lucky to score cheap tickets to see Les Mis in London during the year I studied abroad in college. The movie also looks good. Anne Hathaway's voice sounds beautiful.
Ok, that's all I've got for now. Will be checking in periodically during the day.

and just that little glimpse of her getting her hair cut off is enough to get me teary eyed. I will have to bring a box of tissues with me.
Well, I think I have all of my "non-family" Christmas shopping done. Got some great deals at Kohl's online, so I got the kids shopping started.
Now, I need to work on VSN samples and addressing and mailing Christmas cards.. so little time. Work really impedes my plans for the day
I have that work problem, too. I was tempted to call in sick today so I could work on holiday stuff. But then I felt guilty.
I will say, you are way ahead of me! I barely have any shopping done and still need to make at least half of my Christmas cards. I'm really glad Thanksgiving was early this year - more time to get caught up before Christmas gets here!

VSN samples, goodness yes. That's top of my list for when I have a day off on Wednesday. Sheesh, the luxury, I can't remember when I last had a three day week in work!

I think she looks better here than the real thing hanging in the Louve. This is amazing and I was really surprised how small the actual painting is.

Put a close bracket ] after your link with no spaces.
Then type the text you want to be your link (example: This Card)
Then after your text for your link type [ /url ] but again, take out the spaces.
BTW, the reason we type the spaces in the instructions and tell you to take the spaces out when you're doing it in real life, is that the computer will read those instructions and act on them as if we really wanted it to! The result is weird. Trust me.
I must've done something wrong b/c it didn't work for me on my FS card. I guess I'm too 'visual'!! IDK. I'll try again though.
It's the Christmas Card Challenge (see link in my signature). We make a certain number of Christmas cards each month, Jan. thru Nov. so that when December comes, we can just address and mail with no stress.
I think I started doing them this way in 2010, so this is my third year.

DUH! I think you mentioned to me that I should do this that way I don't have so many to make when December comes. I don't need any stress, I get just working.

LOL! No problem. The older my friends get, the more often I find myself repeating what I said. (Not saying that you're getting 'older.')
That's ok. I would like to join that, without reading the instructions until I get home, there's a deadline each month right?
nope its an encouragement only challenge... but, the hosts do offer up an small prize that they draw a name for of the people who completed that months goal... ( I won once this year it was an envelope filled with pieces for something called one sheet wonder and some assorted Christmas papers and embellishments) I used *almost* everything that was in it for the next months goal...
but no body is going to wet noodle you if you join and then fall off the wagon.
me I tend to work ahead because, I dont have as much time to stamp during the summer so I try to get those months done in advance.

You bet - I don't know why that subscription link is so well hidden. I wish I could add it somewhere easy.
I should probably give away some Spellbinders to make myself feel better about it.
Now that we have moved into grand prize territory, from here on out all of our challenge peeps who did all (or more) are eligible for additional prizes (even if they've already won), so bring on some happy winners!!

Oh and as it turns out... it is more expensive to buy 3 parts for a washing machine than to replace it with the same machine (new) the replacement parts have a 90 day guarantee and a new machine has an year... ( so, a new machine has been ordered with an extended fix it plan)

I've always heard that a stolen car is worth more AFTER it goes to the chop shop than it was in one piece.

Isn't that the dumbest thing? Not so good for the landfills...
