the last Land's End catalogue I got had a quilled tree on the cover. it looked great.
Snow! Yikes, It was 71 here today and gorgeous.

It's amazing what we find out about things on SCS, that's how I found out about Big Lot finds, however there $1.00 mini clear stamps that Michaels sells, they sell them at $2.00 & I told them that's expensive. They have great paper & decorative paper packs too.

You always have to know your prices! I've found MS stuff at Big Lots before and a few stamps here and there.

My kids are going to laugh me out of the house if I've told them that this is the time for the prizes again and it doesn't happen. Oh the joys of sharing a laptop with the family!

I'm still excited about getting some new stamps and/or. Does anyone have a favorite from The Cat's Pajamas that they'd recommend? I'm a SU girl, but I love new toys to try out every now and then.
I was very lucky to get to work with the new release. I think my favorite was Sprinkles (the kitty) "the New Nice". I love the big eared bunnies too but my fav is Sprinkles. the sentiments are pretty much Christmas but I think the image can be used for any gift giving occasion.

Mmm, that's what my Mom used to do. 45 years later and I still remember how good it tasted! She made hers in a deep casserole dish and I think she just put crust on top.

They opened one in Sarasota about 2 months ago and people went nuts, they were waiting in line to get parking spaces, we thought we try to pick up some wine about a month later and you still couldn't get a parking space. Nuts, huh?

There's a YouTube video "It's Gettin' Real in the Whole Foods Parking Lot" that this reminds me of. I'll have to find it tomorrow when I'm on the computer.

OK, ladies I've got to do some other stuff. Have you been seeing the commercials for "Les Mis"? I can't wait for it to open, and we've got tickets to see it at the Van Wezel this season. Saw it twice on Broadway, and went to the 25th anniversary they simulcast at movies when they had the event a year or so ago. They show it on PBS now for fund raising. My daughter came with us to the movie and she said "Now I know why you guys are so crazy over this". We are crazy over it.
Commercials for Anna karenina look great too.
I'll be catching up with you all tomorrow.

Have a good night Chris, I'll be sneaking in tomorrow at work. I would like to go to a Broadway show or a play but it's not my DH's cup of tea.

I can't decide if I want to try the technique challenge or the CAS challenge. I'm sort of tired but I want to make a card.

Ooooo! CAS! It's stars, and a great quote. (I'm not biased, or anything...) There's only one more CAS challenge for me on the fall design team. Wow, time flies!

I just did one for the Free4All and the Inspiration Challenges, but decided to wait to upload them until tomorrow. I love the colors for the CAS challenge, but haven't done a card for that yet. Maybe I can get to it tomorrow. Although we are going up to the lake for the day so that may not happen.

Checking in again to see how the prizes are going off.

I've just got home and showered. It's a stinking hot day here and I'm out mowing lawns and weeding the garden, getting my house ready to rent out. I went inside to do some last minute cleaning, but I was so hot and bothered, and so over cleaning. I decided to hand it over to professionals to get the final spit and polish done. So far I have recieved four applications for lease, so fingers crossed I'll make a good selection within the next week.

In the craftroom I'm working on a card sketch from a new challenge blog I found, but using a tag format. It's been ages since I've done a sketch challenge. Lets just say I'm doing a lot of tweaking, It's what I do best

Well, it's 1:25 in the morning & just finished my CAS card for today's challenge. I hope it's ok for what the quote said.

Well, it's after 3:00 am, I'm back to bed to see if I can finally get some shut-eye! I'll have some coffee on and waitin' when you all wake up in the morning - I'll definitely need it!
Me - I was in bed by 9.30 last night. Making two 12 Days of Christmas tag book cards and now I remember why I only made one last year! By the time I was up to 8 Maids a Milking I couldn't see straight anymore and called it a night. But yes, champ is more a northern speciality. Maybe not specifically Ulster, I think you might get it in Donegal too. Down here you'd be more likely to get colcannon, which is along the same lines but made with curly kale.

When I read your first post I was thinking we must not be very Irish, LOL, I'd say we only have potatoes maybe twice a week. We had a rack of pork with roast potatoes for our Saturday dinner, though. I like a little walnut oil for mine, gives them a lovely flavour.
Hope you got back to sleep, Bridget. It's a big supermarket shop and housework for me this morning, but I'll pop in when I get back from shopping.

Good morning, here's the coffee I promised you - it's the Mona Lisa made from 3,604 cuppa's at the launch of this year's The Rocks Aroma Festival in Australia!

I'd say you've got a more healthy diet than the average person, Sabrina, especially since you cook everything from scratch. These days, they eat a lot of rice and pasta here too, unlike when I first moved over 27 years ago.

That is amazing coffee! Can you imagine the smell from all those!!
I think because my mother was French and widely travelled, even growing up we ate a lot of rice, pasta, couscous and so on, but I know DH pretty much grew up on potatoes . He's just come home feeling a bit rotten after a root canal, so he says hi Bridget.

Holy cow--can you imagine the vision it takes (or the perhaps the computer program) to make the Mona Lisa out of cups of coffee?? Very impressive!

Les Mis -- I do believe I am the last person on earth to see it. We have tickets for the touring company so I won't be able to make that claim after next May LOL! The trailers for the movie look awesome! As does Anna Karenina... I never did make it through that book.

Trader Joe's just opened here also (should check out their stock - looks like they are expanding all over). Same reaction here -- mobs heading to Trader Joe's. When I finally went, I failed to see what the big fuss was about....

Now Ikea is a different story -- I love Ikea! All those different storage solutions???? LOVE it! Unfortunately, the closes Ikea visit for me requires a passport. Have to go over the border to Toronto.

Coffee....yes please. Long night. I don't know if my baby girl is teething or what, but naps have been short and last night she was up 2 or 3 times! Lots of coffee for mom today.

Have a good day at work, Peggy!
And Rita, I hope your little one is feeling a bit more settled today.
I'm off to get some work done myself, see you later.

Trader Joe's are small grocery stores. We don't have any near us so I've only visited one once when I was in Chicago so I've linked the wikipedia article Trader Joe's

Well I am off for a day of work at the lake (We don't have a house ther yet, only an RV so no computer unless I take the laptop along and I tend to not get anything done when I take it along). So I'll check in this evening. DH wants me to go along and "Help".
The Mona Lisa is very hot - unless all that coffee got cold! TTFN

They just built a Trader Joe's here in Wilmington, NC...it's supposed to open any day now.

Arrgggh, just had a fail on 1s CAS card attempt....beautiful brayered strip of stars until I pulled the mask off and saw a huge smear down on the bottom of the card (where I didn't need to mask because the brayer wouldn't be anywhere near there!). Then I cut it down to a 3x3 and tried to use my stampamajig to change the sentiment to a line and failed at that too! Now its time to start school so I'll have to try again later.
Hope your mornings go better than mine!
Les Mis is awesome....saw it live in Chicago many years ago and have seen the Liam Neeson movie and read the abridged book. I'd like to read an unabridged version sometime.
