Kellijo - Hugs to you. Crafting will be a good distraction!
Karen - Love the snowman
Paula - Great recap of the last few pages - my mandoline has only been used a time or two since my episode with it.
Connie and Jody- love your cards. The little polar bear is a very cut image (Oh just noticed that these were the cards that your son made - yes they will be well received by his friends) and Connie your navy with white trees gorgeous (Lovely as a tree is one of my favorite sets - Never give it up)
Scootsv - lovely care - very fallish!
Gail - great card- your coloring is wonderful and Mrs Noofy's card is another of my favorite stamps which I never owned.
Just got on here to see if any Grand prize stuff was going on and catch up with everyone. DH and I just had turkey sandwiches for lunch. Now it's time for more pie and then I 'm off to make some cards.

Here they are - I cut card bases, he stamped snowflakes with Versa Dazzle. I stamped images with Versa, he powdered, I heated. I die cut, he colored. The blue and gold match the girls' uniforms. They are 5th - 8th grade, I think they will love them!
JodyLynn- such cute cards! Just what I need to kickstart my card making motor
We went out to Black Friday at the local smallish mall at the end of the evening- around 8 pm and scooped up some deals as I just didn't want to battle the traffic and crowds- even got to go with my DD -We had so much fun!

oooh pretty cards Connie I had to laugh at my self that I made so many "tree" cards this year and last year was santa santa lol So, I've been calling this the year of the tree...
I also have a close friend who actually loves to stamp but, refuses to touch a computer... and so that's just her life. I try to spend some in person time with her playing to show her things or answer questions because, she gets it better hands on.
{she thinks you guys are all a figment of my imagination *worse than hubs* at least he's been to some CK conventions with me and got to meet some OR scrappers a few times lol...}
Thanks Stacy. I actually wanted to use my SU Bells & Boughs, but ended up doing a bunch of trees. I still have a lot to make, maybe I'll change things around. I don't want to do a lot of coloring though.

Thank you. Actually that tree I got at Michaels, not even sure who makes it because the writing on the stamp is to tiny to read even with my glasses.
I need to get something done for VSN samples so I dont panic when it gets here... so I will peek in later
you know, I used to... say for the first 20 years of our marriage have the Christmas tree up yesterday without fail...(the last 3 years its been harder and harder) and its you know warm here and no snow. it feels "too early" so it doesn't feel odd to just go stamp instead...

I made 12 Christmas cards tonight, it's almost 2:00 in the morning DH should be coming home soon to start the smoker for the turkey. I played with different embossing powders & ended up like the white...which means I'll just do a few of each & then some.
Love these! I was on my phone earlier and it's so hard to see attachment pictures.

I had a similar feeling when I first moved to California. Hard to get in the Christmas spirit when it's 80 and the sun is shining. But I've gotten used to it over the years. I just sing along to White Christmas with the windows open and my flip flops on!
I'm taking a brief break from decorating; new furniture has thrown off my decorating plan and I need to think on how to move forward from here. Also, I seem to have bought two different decorations for the same spot. Oops!

Well, I thought I was going to help you out because I have a similar stamp that I got from Michaels, too. But it's not the same one. I guess lots of companies have a stamp with clusters of bare trees. Mine is from Rubber Stampede.
I can't find the triple layer stamping technique in the techniques, does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've seen so many cards with this idea.
yep I have tried that its really easy and turns out cool. but, the part in the video where she says don't flip your layers around when your done stamping and matting them to glue it all back together... pay attention to that part. eta I put an X in the same corner of all the layers on the back sides of the parts I stamp to make it easier to glue them back together...

these are the ones I did when I did it... they all look OK but the first one with the mislayered layers still works but... it didnt have that WOW punch of the lined up panels... and you know what? I did not even see that I had it crooked until one of my friends said so haha...

Here in Bellingham in NW WA we are waiting until mid December- tree will be fresher longer and that's when my DS comes home from college and DH from his business trip

The pies and bakers look great. I'll bet you had a wonderful day.
I made Jen's brussel sprouts too, had to use a different seasoning, but they turned out very good! We will eat the rest of them today.
Glad you liked them. We had a great time. It was relatively warm. I thought about a carriage ride, something I've never done but we were all so tired and it was SOOOOO crowded (warm + first night + holiday weekend) I thought I'd save it for another time.
Both kids are so pooped they are napping so I'm going to buzz out and do some Small Business Saturday shopping. Just a little because I'm pooped too.

gosh, I sneaked over to HL & found a few things, I was looking for gold beads & silver didn't have any but I did manage to find something like a new Sizzix pointsetta die. I didn't make it to Joanns because DH kept asking me to get things at the grocery store, would of taken to long.

Oh they are so sweet. He will enjoy giving them all the more because he helped make them. The girls will surely love them.
Good Morning ladies!!!! Sorry I have been gone for a bit. SO much emotions and didn't wanna bum the thread down! Marsh died Thanksgiving night. We buried him yesterday.
Weird getting up in the AM and not having that fat lil guy meet me with a smile and dance!!!! Daughter is doing ok... poor thing! I hope to go get into my craft cave today. I have decided to no longer be afraid of Digi stamps and purchased some while at work ( ) from Saturated Canary. They had a 50% off sale.
SO, Short of going back a million pages how is everyone else doing??? someone able to give me a snap shot? lol
So very sorry that you've lost your dear Marsh.
Glad you're going to try digi stamps. I've collected a lot of freebies but only purchased a few. There are many out there that I'd like to have. They are so versatile since they can be printed in whatever size you need.
This morning I visited my two kitties that I've been taking care of this week. Then I spent the afternoon with my dd Jeanette, her boyfriend and his two daughters. A nice quiet comfortable afternoon.
