I am so excited to have been named Diva of the Week! I absolutely love to get on SCS and find scrapbook page ideas! There are some amazingly talented scrappers and stampers here, and I feel honored to be included in the group.
I've only been scrapbooking for about two and a half years now. I've been stamping, making cards mostly, for around four years, but really got into scrapbooking when my son was born two years ago, and now that's my real passion. I had been a high school Spanish teacher, and now am taking time off to be with my son, so that allows me a lot more time for creating. I scrapbook mostly my precious boy, but I do a few pages here and there of me and my wonderful husband, Shane, and a few of other events and people, too.
It seems I start a page with a picture. I'm a huge picture taking fanatic, so when I have a picture I love, I kind of design a page around that. I, of course, scrap milestones and events, but it seems the most fun pages to make are the pages that showcase those little things, especially about my son, that I never want to forget. I love Stampin’ Up and I’ve been a SU demo for almost a year, so I always try to incorporate stamping into my pages. I think my biggest challenge when I make a page is to not include a hundred pictures on it! I want to scrap everything so that my family and I can look back at the pages later and recall the wonderful memories we’ve made. Whenever my son does something adorable, my husband will often jokingly say, “I’ll bet there will be a scrapbook page about that!” And he’s usually right!
Thanks to all of you wonderful scrappers on SCS who share your work and give me ideas! I love being a part of SCS and I am so very happy to be named a Scrappin Diva!
Congratulations, Trish, my talented daughter-in-law! I know how excited you are to be the Scrappin' Diva for the week. You deserve this very special honor. I know you get tons of inspiration from SCS but now it's everyone else's turn to get inspiration from you!! WAY TO GO!!

Congrats Trish! You have some awesome creations!!!
Isn't GREAT to have family that enjoys scramping and SCS like you do! I LOVE IT! I have my sis in here some and my sil has some! and my mom is a GREAT supplier of all things scrappy! heheheheh!!! (Well that isn't SU! that would be my dept.!)
Here is my first layout for the SBSD01 Challenge. I'm hoping I'll get to do another one this week. I really like the circles at the bottom of the page.
OK, now looking at that post, two things on the LO need clarification... the little strip to the right of the "M" says "mothers" and the right hand picture of my son is with a raspberry on his finger- looks weird after it was uploaded! LOL!

Here is my take on Trish's Easter page! I really liked the sketch, but I had a hard time finding pics for it! That's why it took so long!! Thanks for your inspiration!!
