Yes. Yes it was. And February is a short month (though we do get an extra day this year), so it will be March before you know it!

Nice cards, ladies! I must say, I'm glad to shake off the January blues and start February. I need a good month! Baseball season will be here before we know it. I can't wait!

How are you all doing? How is it going with oldest ds?

Yes, but next year we can plan a trip to Indiana!

Suzanne, thanks for starting the new thread. I can't believe it's February and I STILL don't have all my Christmas decorations put away! That's today's project.

Cindy, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Christmas cards! Another idea I may have to copy!

Jenn, just take it easy. Maybe it's low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Maybe you should get it checked out.

I was thinking the same thing Jill, Jenn you might need to see the dr.

I have had a crafty day. I altered 2 notebooks and made a card with the scraps. I got my little guy at 1 so he had a longer day. Tomorrow he is staying in school all day. I am going to start dinner so it is ready early.

Pia, he must be feeling better? Did you enjoy crafty time??

Michael had a 5 minute lunch detention again today...he's killing me!

I'll probably go to the doctor's tomorrow.

Jenn, definitely go to the doctor!

Well, I'm out of the running for Mother of the Year. I just told my oldest to go to his room before I punched him. We got a new bar stool for the kitchen yesterday, so 5 minutes after the kids got home from school they were both screaming and fighting over it. I came downstairs to find my youngest crying with a big welt on his forehead and he said my older son hit him with a stick that was on the counter from yesterday. I asked my oldest what happened and he insisted he didn't hit him. I asked my youngest again what happened and he repeated his story. Back to the older son, who said he didn't really hit him, he tapped him.

Why the stick was still there, I don't know, since he got in trouble for hitting his brother with it yesterday too.

Quick, someone remind me, why did I think having children was a good idea?

Jenn,
He is better but tired. He stayed til 11:30 yesterday and 1 today. So he can make it to 2:25 tomorrow. I need to get back to work! I miss it when I am not there. I will go back on Tuesday.

Natalie,
I have been out of the running for awhile, glad I am not alone!

Kathy Leap Year birthdays are so fun.
Jen I agree you need to go to the doctor.
Jeannie hope you get to feeling better soon.
Natalie hang in there, they eventually grow up.
I didn't exercise today, but I spend 3.5 hour cleaning house. DH went out to lunch with former coworkers, so I wanted to get all my cleaning done while he was gone. Now if it would just stay clean.

I remember the first time DD said "I hate you" to me. I cried all day!

Yes, I got all the decorations organized and labeled. DH still needs to get them back under the stairs. We both feel this will make next year's decorating much easier and less stressful. DS was excited about it when I told him, too.

Good for you for getting exercise, but you really need to wait until you get the okay from the doctor!

Really? Because I remember my son screaming this at me once and I had a pretty hard time not telling him what I thought of him in that moment as well.

Things calmed down, sort of. We all went to scouts. Looks like I'm being moved to the Webelos. Oh joy.

Just went back and read what I typed and wanted to clarify that I didn't punch my child. It kind of sounds like I did, doesn't it?

LOL Not exactly.

Didn't upset me for my kids to say they hated me, it was probably because they were not wanting to do something they were supposed to. I figured it's part of the job. Last night on Leno, Michele Obama said that "everything" they (she and Barack) do is embarrassing to their kids now! ha ha ha

It didn't upset me either. After older DS screamed he hated me, I replied that it was an honest emotion and I could appreciate it. He didn't get the reaction he wanted so I didn't hear it again. Younger DS never got that upset.

Lois is doing so well that she might get out of the hospital Friday. She'll need to go somewhere for skilled care, but most likely here in town. Good thing, too, as gas took a big jump this week from $3.07 to $3.27.

The big problem is I'll be out of town. I know her nephew will go get her, but I'm going to have to get clothes for her to wear from her apartment tomorrow since I'm leaving for Minnesota Friday morning. Baby shower this weekend.

I'm glad to hear Lois is doing so well. Have a safe trip and lots of fun! Check in when you can.

Jill, I took the baby out of its box, assembled its handle, and read the instructions.

But I haven't actually used it yet.....

Gotta find my texture plates. I know they're in a binder, but I'm not sure where that binder is hiding at the moment, with everything sort of out of order.

I did actually clear the intended corner for use with the Big Shot. Barely. Set it up.

I'm going to see if DD wants to learn how to use it now. Oh, yes, she's interested, I told her it cuts fabric.

So the mess is not completely chaotic. There are piles that have little post-its on top of them, numbered in order. All the same color. In case I have to empty another shelf at the same time, I can keep them separate maybe.

Right now it's good that Phantom isn't going to wander in there, because if it were a month ago, he'd have peed all over everything, and 5 years ago, just gotten his nose into everything and knocked it all over.

Right now it's good that Phantom isn't going to wander in there, because if it were a month ago, he'd have peed all over everything, and 5 years ago, just gotten his nose into everything and knocked it all over.
Or eaten the paper! LOL How in the world did you resist using it? I can't wait to get mine tomorrow!

Spent the morning in the watching little ones in the nursery at a scout round table. Makes me a little glad mine are growing up, aside from the hitting each other over the head with sticks part.

DH's grandparents are coming to visit tomorrow and I have about a million things I should be doing to get this place ready. Where exactly does all this clutter come from in the first place?

How are you feeling today, Jeannie and Jenn?
