Talking MANIC MONDAY - September 17th

Hey Everyone,
How's your Monday so far? Mine is not good already, my kids are sick and you know what that means I'm next Didn't get enough sleep my DD was coughing so bad and low fever.
Anyhoo, inspite of that love the weather today sunny and cool. Also, to change the topic I got tattoo few days ago with the name of my kids in Thai writing. I love it! I can't wait to get my next one a chandelier love love chandelier designs...
If you guys are not into tattoo just ignore my message on that one teheee!
I hope you guys are having a wonderful day! What you having for lunch today?

My Monday is starting out slow! The kids got off to school without any major issues and I'm going to start doing some laundry and color! Unfortunately I missed a vet appointment last Friday, completely slipped my mind, so I need to call them and apologize plus set up a new one. Another thing I need to do today is some birthday shopping for my sister. Her birthday was actually Sept. 9 so it's a "late" gift. She isn't easy to buy for, she has everything I hate shopping for people like that. Hey any suggestions...

Awww Jas, sorry to hear! I can sympathize, my oldest has strep and she's been miserable but thankfully we were able to get her into the clinic yesterday. The kids weren't able to go to a sleepover this past Sat. night because she was sick and I wasn't sure if the boys were going to get it.

I LOVE tattoos! I got a new one in SC this past summer- a seashell that says "sand. sea. free..." over it <3 Take a pic!

I have one home sick today too with a nasty cold and the other 2 are fighting it, so I understand. I really hope I don't get it, I have too much to do! Other than that I am trying to get in a little stamping before I head off to work this afternoon.

All you people with sick kids keep your distance! Just kidding .

My Monday is pretty slow. I missed last Monday because I was in the hospital having my baby! His name is Jack and he is pretty fantastic. Recovering from a c section is less fantastic. My parents are here helping out so I don't have too much to do outside of feeding/changing/snuggling. My mom is wanting to make some blank cards to thank her pet sitter so I am hoping to work on them with her today. The lady is a big coffee fan so we are going to use Latte Anya. Yay!

I hope everyone's kids feel better soon.

Melissa - gift cards are good or what about a set of handmade cards?

lol, I know that's why had to cancel my daughters EI today. But it looks like my kids are getting better, yay!

CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the world Jack I had C-section as well from both of my kids. Mine was selective C-section because I have a scoliosis and have a Titanum rods between my spine. I can't imagine myself pushing, I feel like my screws on my spine will come off, lol!

Perfect idea Latte Anya, I'm sure she will love it!

Enjoy your new bundle of joy. You know they grow pretty fast.

Sounds like lots of us have the funk...that's what I'm calling it here in our house. Both my girls have the cough and stuffed/runny noses... I just wish mine didn't have the low grade fever going with it...that makes things so much more icky...just feel warm and don't want to do anything. I need to pay bills, pout, and get laundry done this afternoon. I did my volunteer time at the school and did the grocery shopping already. Have to sketch how we're going to redo youngest dd's bedroom...then that project can begin...ugh!

Hey ladies!! New to SCS and the forum itself!! Just wanted to pop in say hi !
Looks like all us mom of school aged kiddies are going thru the sick thing. All three of mine came home Friday with nasty colds and have been battling it all weekend. I can feel my scratchy throat starting, too. Yikes!! Hope all of your little ones feel better soon without infecting you all in the process!!
Congratulations Tiffany on the birth of your son!! Enjoy every minute of that snuggling time and I hope you feel better and stronger every day. C-sections are no fun - I had one with my twins so I feel your pain!
Melissa - I second the gift card but love the set of cards idea Tiffany shared!

CONGRATS TIFFANY!!!
ouch! how does your C section feel??
I remember seeing one being performed in the OR!
you should see how much fluid comes out after the initial incision to your uterus!
It was an awesome experience to see!!!
and everyone is SO HAPPY in the Maternity wards =)

Thanks for all the congratulations!

The c section is definitely a different sort of pain than I have experienced before. Today I am starting to feel much better and cut back on pain meds so hopefully that will also help with focus and energy. Totally worth my little bundle though!

Happy anniversary!

And get well soon everyone else. My older son is in kindergarten and I just hope he stays healthy for the next few weeks!
