Hi everyone. I thought I would start a new thread for July where we can chat about stuff and share projects we are working on.
So I'll start. I live in Illinois which is having a HUGE heat wave, 100 degree days, not the norm for our summers. I love warm weather but this is keeping me in the house more than normal. But that also means that I'm doing a lot more coloring - what else do you do in spare time - right!
This is my birthday card I just finished. I'm going to be stamping out many more images today and just keep on coloring!
One more thing, it's easy to add your creations here is you use the paperclip to attach them.

Morning all!
It's been so hot in West Kentucky that the drapes have been closed all week and the air conditioning is working overtime! lol! This has given me lots of opportunities for stampin!! Just finished my grandson's b-day card and am planning on attending his party today(indoors! lol!)
We just moved from Iowa to Ohio a couple of months ago. The weather between both are similar, but when we have 100 degree days, it is one or two days tops. We tend to have days in the high 80s with lots of humidity. The mild winter this year is certainly doing no favors.
I have been busy trying to catch up my kids scrapbooks. I was five years behind on one of my kids! Shame on me, right? I have also been inspired to work on my SMASH book and am working on a TGF page, but I have lots of coloring left to do before I can premier it.
Keep cool, everyone!
OH my gosh, I don't even want to admit how far behind I am with my kid's scrapbooks. My oldest has the most complete and my youngest, who is 7, has some pages in a box. I got so wrapped up in stamping and coloring that I just but it all on a back burner.

My husband is from Kentucky and his parents are still there. They called yesterday and their air conditioning had quit. They were trying to catch my hubby before he left because he was going down to visit them for the weekend. He had already left - so I guess they will sweat together LOL. Hopefully he can get it back going, she said the repair places were really bogged down. This heat is really deadly.

It's over 100 again today. It's actually too hot to swim, now doesn't that sound crazy. My hubby is gone for the weekend so I'm thinking of taking my younger 3 to a movie to break up the day. They don't want to play outside and I certainly don't want to be out there to watch them!
I am doing some coloring and stamping with TGF stamps. Playing with the new July releases. Have you seen them yet? If not you need to go see them, can you say ADORABLE!
So what are your weekend plans?

Hey. I like this thread. I like to meet new SC stampers. I live in New Hampshire. I am not native to here so when I say we are having the best summer most people from here would say it is way to hot. We have been in the mid 80s low 90s for a couple of weeks now. It cools off really nice at night.
I have been stamping quite a lot lately because I started a blog but my cards are nearly as beautiful as Melissa O. That is just beautiful.
I do quite a few other crafts as well
What other crafts do you do? I have always wanted to learn to knit or sew (on something other than paper and with straight lines) but I never seem to do anything about taking lessons or anything. I guess paper is my one true crafting material.

I am originally from Seattle, so when it would hit 90 we would all melt, haha. Now I live in Vegas and I'm used to the heat... It was 115 yesterday - so glad it's cooled down to 104 today, lol!!
I am taking a break from cards and coloring (gasp!) to make some sewing projects. I'm on an apron kick lately... today's flavor is Cherry Jubilee, lol!
OMG 103, that is super hot. Last week we were at 100-101 and that crazy for Illinois. We get hot days, but not in the 100's.
Shaela I hope you will share your aprons with us, maybe post them on your blog and share the link. I'm always so envious of people who are really sew.
I have a card to share today too. It's a keeping it simple card - is there some abbreviation for that phrase? I made it with the July release stamp Blush Thanks.

SOOO bummed we didn't get to meet up at CHA this summer. IT's crazy to think that Marie and I are already planning winter CHA, especially in the 100+ degree heat Melissa was mentioning!
As you can see, it's been a busy summer for TGF Marie and Ray welcomed the addition of Emma Grace to their growing little family and I was home all of 10 days this past month, I think, LOL.
I cannot believe that my babies start school again on WEDNESDAY! There is a fury of supplies being checked and rechecked right now in the Diedrich abode Happy Monday, everyone!!!!

Copic class was great. There is so much to absorb but really it's all about practicing the new techniques and practicing, practicing, practicing... I love to color so practice is FUN!
My youngest (7) started summer school today and I'm on the count down for my oldest to leave for his first year of college. Sniff, sniff, I cannot believe he is 18 now and leaving. My daughter is off to cheerleading camp for the week and thankfully my other son doesn't have anything happening right now. We are always on the run... We have yet to get supplies but we need to do that, they start Aug. 22, I can't believe how fast the summer went.
Before you know it it will be winter CHA!

I'm sure you have heard it a million time but the years just fly by. When they get into school things seem to blur as they wiz by. I got all teary the other day when he was with me grocery shopping thinking about how he love to sit in the front seat of the grocery cart. Even though he is now 18, 6'3" and 200 lbs he will always be that age in my mind. Take lot's and lot's of pictures of her
