WOW--I never knew there was one there and I drive past that town often.

And, hope everyone knows that the Scrapbook and Stamping Memories in Janesville and Madison are closing, withe everything 40% off. It does not say anything on their website, but they are closing.

Welcome To Scrapbook & Stamping Memories!

Does anyone know what the Janesville and Madison stores current sale is? Last weekend it was 40%, but I haven't been over there with the blizzard so I'm hoping I still have some time before they close (or sell everything!).

I was at the store in Janesville on Saturday and their was quite a bit of paper left. Also lots of stamps and a fair amount of punches left. Some albums left and also sleeves. Quite a few stickers left also. VERY busy today. Some ink pads left. Quite a bit of glitter left. Embossing powder is there also. I did not see any tapes or scissors or cutters. The brads are very limited but lots of eyelets left. Lots of Ribbon left too. Hope this helps.

I went to Coloma today to the scrapbook store there that's closing---40% off and quite a bit of inventory. Nice owner---she plans on closing Feb. 19th. She said the store on Metro Dr. in Appleton is closing too---40% off there and closing date of March 5th.

I think they said when we were in there they are open until February 28th--and they did not say anything about whether or not the 40% off will stay or if it will go higher.

Exclamation YIKES!!

That is 4 stores in one month! This year is starting out very scary.I hope to make it up to Appleton this week but have already visited the Scrapbook Memories in Madison (could barely hold back the tears). Went over to Coloma, she will most likely be at the Adams-Friendsip flea market this summer also. Your Hubbies will want to vistit her store before it closes because there are nice wood items too, a bar some benches alot of cool crafts. She may start coming over to Stamper's a Paradise to scrapbook and stamp too so there may be a new curd in our future ladies. Now, with a tear in my eye I bid you goodbye and lets help these ladies out by visiting their farewell sales.

Mel - Do you have a date yet for the Friendship Shoebox? Even though it's winter & white stuff is falling, my calendar has me believing that spring is just around the corner and Saturdays are starting to fill up!

WOW - I just looked at Stampers Paradise - I really can't wait! AJ has been busy, you're a lucky lady!

Question Friendship Swap

We had a date picked out but now that's up in the air. Has anyone heard about Mad-City Madness? Is Tracey doing that this year? Based on last years numbers and several other factors I am almost in favor of doing one of our overnight mini-swaps instead. Just putting that out there for debate. Let me know what you ladies think.

I am so sad about so many stamping stores closing. I don't know where I am going to go for decent paper close by. Hobby Lobby is ok, but not for individual paper supplies, they don't have alot of quality paper. I love Bo Bunny which they don't carry much of. Michaels is a waste of time mostly, I find it dirty and dug through most times when I go. There is a small stamping store in Janesville I will have to look up the name sorry, but they close early during the week and have limited Saturday hours. They have unique stamps and are friendly, but limited supplies. I didn't even know there was a store in Coloma, I go to Adams several times a year to visit at Sue's parents place. That saddens me. I guess I will have to go on-line and update my Stores for WI list. I love Archivers, but they are so expensive and 45 minutes from the house. Oh well.

I've never been to an overnight mini swap - we used to have the Northwoods Gathering at Cedar Creek Lodge in Wausau, Wi Shoe Box Swap but haven't for a couple years now! What area do you guys meet up at?

There are 3 stores I love for paper but none of them close to each other nor close to you, Sheri ----HMMMMM sounds like a road trip & overnight is needed! The stores I like for unusual paper are Cedarburg-Legacy Scrapbooking; Mukwonago-Polka Dots and Fond du Lac-Scrappin Cottage.

How far is Jefferson from Delavan? Ben Franklin Crafts (just off I-43 in the area by Walgreens) has a decent scrapbook section. Linda, who used to own Memories from the Heart downtown, set it up and keeps it stocked.
Ben Franklin Crafts of Delavan, Wisconsin

Edgerton has Scrap Happens. It's great as you can RENT stamp sets! Libby also has some supplies for sale, too.

I have in my Calendar, April 16th as the tentative date for Mel's Friendship Swap.

I haven't heard anything about Mad-City. I have received information about the 6th Annual Madison Mingle March 25, 26, 27th in Middleton WI at the Hilton Gardens by a Donna Polley. A shoe box style event with lots of great demo's and prize drawings. $45.00 for the 3 days (Sleeping rooms not part of fee.) Limit 50 people. I'm going to email her for more information.

Sat., April 9th is the Spring Get-a-way scrapbook store bus tour. Polkadots in Mukwonago, Legacy Scrapbooks, Cedarburg WI and Super Scrapbook Store in Madison WI. Cost $55

I'm busy shoveling snow, applying for jobs (and hearing nothing back), stamping (BD Cards for Feb & March) and just plain playing with my craft stuff.

Hope everyone else is hanging in.

The events I've posted are open as far as I know. I am waiting for more information on the 6th Annual Madison Mingle March 25, 26, 27th in Middleton WI.

The Spring Get-a-way scrapbook store bus tour, all you need to do is contact one of the 3 stores and sign up.

As I get more information, I'll post it here.

I went to Scrapbook and Stamping Memories in Janesville today and everything was 50% off. They still had a pretty good selection of paper, ribbons and stamps--not too much left in tools and many of their fixtures had sold tags on them--But, it still is worth the trip. I am not sure if they will go more than 50%. I also stopped at Serindepity in Waukesha and they look like they have sold very little--looks the same as it usually does. 15% off probably has not attacted big crowds yet, though there were 3 or 4 others in the store when I was there. I did not go to Crackerbox Palace though. So sad to see these stores go away.............................

Smile Whats up Wisconsinites?

Anybody have any fun Stamping Get-togethers planned for around the Wausau area? I know the Stamping and Scrapbook Expo in June is at the Patriot Center at Cedar Creek. Anything else fun planned, we haven't had a Get-to-gether in the Northwoods for awhile...

Unfortunately, I can't attend this one, but I wanted to vouch for the newbie ()... Keeley's monthly crops and retreats are tons of fun! Plus she is an EXCELLENT CTMH demo, should you need one. And if not, go to the crops anyway to hang out with an awesome group of chicks, share ideas and toys, and laugh and scrap for hours and hours!

ps. There are prizes! and BINGO! Ok, email her now!

It's at a hotel on the far west side - close to Archiver's, Michael's, and not too far from Joanns or Scrapbook Superstore, which makes it convenient to crash at the hotel if you're from out of town, and also take a break and do some shopping nearby.

Email Keeley if you have more questions!

Hi! I live in Rosendale, WI.

We are heading up north this week and I was wondering if anyone has been to Nosser's Stamp and Scrap in Rhinelander? I was thinking about checking it out.

Have not been there but did you know that there is a stamp convention in Wausau today?
It's at the Cedar Creek Mall. I believe it is sponsored by Nossers.

We drive through Rosendale (slowly, heh heh) all the time to visit the inlaws! (They are in the Fox Cities.)

Does anybody get heavy cardstock from ThePaperMillStore.com? They have a warehouse around Oshkosh where you can pick up your order instead of having it shipped.

I drive through lovely Rosendale to go to Madison. Don't know that stamp store in Rhinelander.

Thanks for the info about the Paper Mill Store. The Paper Cut in Appleton also allows pick ups. Unfortunately, their website is not terribly up to date technically speaking but they are very helpful. Just read that a new website is coming in Aug.

The Paper Cut Warehouse sale is Saturday July 9th. They have classes on Friday where you're allowed to do some pre-shopping.

My son goes to school in Rosendale, and their slogan, "just the ticket" is well earned!!!

Anyhow, I've never been to the outlet, but I have a friend whose hubby works there, and each year, they do a big paper sale. I usually get birch, kraft and black VERY HEAVY weight paper!!! They also have envies, too. When I buy them, the envies are about $12/250 box, and the paper about $10/ream of 500 sheets. What do you pay, and where is the outlet store in Oshkosh???

The warehouse is in Neenah. I emailed them and learned that you can't go in and browse, but you can order your paper (online) and pick it up there. I'm still trying to figure out which of their heavy cardstocks is most like the PTI 110lb CS. I saw a review of one of their heavy papers saying that it was too heavy to fold without cracking, even if it was previously scored.

The black is the heaviest, I think! I score, then use the SU bone folder/scorer thingy. This works best for me!

ok, I am slow just read this and its the end of June...I have gone to Cedarburg 3 times in the past 8 or so months, love the Legacy store. I will have to check out the other 2 on some of my endeavors. I will be closer to Fon du lac over the 4th, but I won't have money to go,,,ugh. I will have to check it out later next month...Thanks Diane
