P.S. I need to look and see where Snohomish is on the map. Did I mention I am a CA transplant? I've lived here for 6 years, but there are still so many places I've never visited.
Snohomish is east of Everett. Another idea I thought of is meeting in the Everett area Saturday morning and then driving up together. I wonder if there's a park n ride in the north Everett area. That way you'd be very close to I 5 and would make for an easier drive?.?

and
b. I thought we were starting at noon. I have no idea why I thought that. I must have mixed it up with the Stamp Camp I signed up for. Anyway, I know I won't be able to make it by 9am unless I stay somewhere closer the night before.

Here are my questions:
What happens if I don't show up when you start? Would it mess everyone up if my project is not there when you begin?
Should I send in my kits so they are there ahead of me?
Do I need to just drop out?
Can you give me the church's address so I can plug it into my GPS for a more accurate time table?
How far North of Seattle is Bellingham? I live about an hour and a half South of Seattle.
I hope that you can work things out so that you can attend.

I'm no expert on Shoebox Swaps but I'm thinking that there are enough other card kits for us to work on before you arrive; that you'll be able to collect all the card kits - just may not be able to complete them all there; we would all love to work on your card kit so please do not drop out (unless it's really not do-able for you)

Hi again, Heather. I just happened to think of "Plan B". You could stay at my house on Saturday night after the swap and drive home on Sunday.

Need to cut out all the pieces for my kits today. Now that I have committed to a plan and know (sort of know) what I'm doing, it shouldn't take long.

Default Set-Up time on Friday????

Hi Gals.....

Who might be available on Friday (late afternoon) to set up the room for our swap? Of course, I'm talking to the Whatcom county gals. Most of you live within 20 minutes of the church.

Please post your answer and we will pick a time together.

God's Blessings,
Garnet

I would love to have your help. Is there a certain time that you are available? In other words, do you work 9 to 5?

I just want to thank each of you who have so graciously offered to help me out. My plan is fill up the car with gas and load up all my supplies before work Friday night. That way I can head out early in the morning on Saturday. If I don't hit any major traffic I should be fine.

My project should be quick and easy to put together. Everything is cut and embossed and ready to be assembled.

Are we supposed to bring prizes?

My project is at home - waiting to be finished for tomorrow's crop...as some of you might know, I've got two grandkids I care for and it's exhausting at the end of the evening after work and everything else - hope you all like my project....glue here and there, stamp here and there and it's done!!!

See you all tomorrow!!!

My car is packed. My directions are printed. All I have to do is wake up in the morning and go. Wish me luck. I hope to get there between 10am and 11am as long as traffic isn't too awful. Who knows, I may get there earlier. (Don't count on it though.)

I sure wish I could have joined you all this year, but I spent my day watching my son run his favorite cross country race in the pouring rain and mud at Silver Lake.

I'm glad you all had fun, and I sure hope I can meet up with you again next fall!

Thank you for letting me join your super fun swap. All the cards were wonderful! My DH was laughing at me today as I spread out all my cards on the dining room table to look at them again. He said, "you are so cute the way you play with your toys".

Hello Ladies
I had so much fun thanks for all the awesome cards.
On the bottom of the welcome sheet Garnet asked for input!
Here is mine
Garnet I think it is time for you to enjoy the swap MORE!!!!
I don't need a gift!i buy enough on my own!!!!
I would like to see a price drop to $5.00 NO gift and all money goes to the church
It is just my thought.
Now I'd like to see your input ladies
Let's give Garnet a break!!

Thank you Garnet for hosting and coordinating again! It was another fabulous crafting day and the cards were awesome! I have to go along with Cindy, maybe not do the door prizes, so many of us have so much in supplies already, and it would be nice to keep the price down but have what we do collect go straight to the church. That way you can enjoy the day more as you should.
Thanks again, so honored to be part of such a fun event!

Ladies, I have to say your cards blew me away. Not a bad one in the bunch. I wasn't expecting such high quality of cards from everyone. Thank you Garnet for all the time and energy you put into this for us. I don't have any suggestions as a newbie, but I would be fine without prizes. I didn't even know there were going to be prizes when I signed up. It is a lot of work to set up, keep the coffee flowing and clean up. Perhaps we should all bring a little something for our hostess next year.

God's Blessings to all you wonderful ladies. I love you all and look forward to our get-together every year.

About prizes... I can go either way. It's not a big job as I just shop online for half price sales. (check out CraftySteals.com) So I would like to see a few more posts... Do you like the fun of getting prizes? Or do you just want to make cards?

Heather I REALLY don't need any hostess gifts. I literally have hundreds and hundreds of stamps and shelves filled with paper and ribbons. I have not purchased any new paper for 2 years and the shelves are still too full. Can we all say "collector"?

Garnet - truly appreciate all the work you put into our awesome day.

Add me to the list that while the gift bag is fun, I'd also rather any proceeds be passed onto the church.

Though I will miss seeing everyone and how often do I get to spend an entire day crafting, 24 is just too much for me. I sure had fun all those previous years and greatly appreciate all of the work and love you put into organizing this day for us Garnet. Take care and have a great trip!! Have fun crafting ladies!!
