So.... I worked on my idea tonight. Looks cool, but not sure about how much time it takes. PLUS... anyone have a really good glue-stick for cards? This pattern could be easier with a stick than with glue pen. Tape might be out of the question.

Default Goodies for door prizes

Garnet, last year we were invited to bring some door prizes too, is that going to be an option this year as well?
Do you know if anyone is bringing stamps to sell this time?

Will get my check in the mail tomorrow, you should have it by Friday
thanks so much for organizing again!

Sounds lik Martha and Nora have stamps to sell... Go for it!

If you want to add stuff to the door prizes just bring stuff along sort of early and we can throw yours in with what I have purchased. It will just make each prize bag bigger.

I got two new ideas from Technique Junkies. Will need to try both of those to see which I like better for my kits.

Hi Nora... I guess your link or your picture didn't work. Want to try again? Or if it's got a name you could type it.

Question Question for all of you

Alex was given a large craft tote on wheels. She does not need it. Perhaps we can use it as one of our door prizes. It is not new. It is used, maybe a little faded.
Would it still be okay to use it as a prize?

No worries Garnet, you told us to make 24, now there are 25 of us....we just don't make our own. No need to make extra.

Should we include envelopes with our card kits? Do the cards have to be a certain size?

Hi Julia... If your cards are A2 size (5.5 x 4.25) you don't need to include envelopes. But if you make a larger size or perhaps a long narrow card, then we would like to have an envelope.

I included envelopes as it's slightly off the measurements- but Michael's had a combo card/envelope package I had on hand- finished my kits today See you all there on the 28th!

After several tries at techniques that were way too time consuming for us all to do, I sat down with my stack of Techniques Junkies newsletters and found something easier. Now I just need to get to work!!

I have a bit of a problem ladies. I'm obviously not good at reading instructions. For some odd reason I thought:
a. Bellingham was closer to Seattle. MapQuest said it could take me 3.5 - 4+ hours to get there. YIKES
and
b. I thought we were starting at noon. I have no idea why I thought that. I must have mixed it up with the Stamp Camp I signed up for. Anyway, I know I won't be able to make it by 9am unless I stay somewhere closer the night before.

Here are my questions:
What happens if I don't show up when you start? Would it mess everyone up if my project is not there when you begin?
Should I send in my kits so they are there ahead of me?
Do I need to just drop out?
Can you give me the church's address so I can plug it into my GPS for a more accurate time table?
How far North of Seattle is Bellingham? I live about an hour and a half South of Seattle.

I have a guest room if you want to come up on Friday night.
It takes me an hour and a half to get to Seattle, so MapQuest is pretty accurate. For directions to the church, click here
But I would be happy to have you stay at my house, then it's only a half mile in the morning.

Hi Heather,
I'll be coming from Snohomish with a couple of friends. If you want we could meet and drive up together. Or another idea is that you come over Friday night and we drive up all together. My 2 friends are spending the night too.

Just a couple more options for you to think about.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm supposed to work Friday night, so I'm not sure about coming up on Friday. If I do I would get in late. hmmm.... let me work on this a little bit and get back to you.

P.S. I need to look and see where Snohomish is on the map. Did I mention I am a CA transplant? I've lived here for 6 years, but there are still so many places I've never visited.
