The first Shoe Box Swap was a ton of fun! We all made lots of cards and a bunch of new friends too. Join in on the second (hopefully of many) Shoe Box Swap. Info below has been updated with the Summer Schedule.
This is a super way to meet local Stampin' Up! enthusiasts. Anyone who wants to make the drive, please sign up. I have driven to Kentucky to go to a shoe box swap, they are tons of fun!
Each person plans a card that meets the theme. (current SU only).
You make two sample cards and a card kit for each of the other participants.
The kit contains all the cut cardstock and embellishments--
the image is typically stamped at the event.
All the kits are in individual baggies in a shoebox with the supplies needed to make the card--that is how the name came about.
The number of kits will be determined after sign up is closed.
The day of the event, you bring your samples, the shoebox with all of the kits, and any additional supplies--inks, stamps, punches, etc.
and directions for making your card. Don't forget your basic stamping tools (adhesive, scissors, bone folder, etc.)
The shoeboxes are passed around the tables and each person makes one card from each shoebox.
There will be an additional swap that day-- $5 stamping gifts.
That swap is optional, but the full card shoebox is required for everyone.
There will be a rummage sale where participants can sell/trade stamping products. Current SU! products may only be traded.
The day is a great time--a long day of stamping, but it is fun.

Fee: $15 ($16 if paypal) (All funds are spent on food & goodies)
Food: Lunch will be provided. Snacks are pot-luck.
RSVP: The cut-off date for sign up will be June 15th so that the number of kits to make will be finalized.
Theme: Your Favorite SU! stamp set
Current SU! products only.
At least 2 layers and one embellishment.
Envelopes are not required unless card is non-standard size.
Card should be able to be completed in 15 minutes.
Should there be a need to cancel, please inform Julie by email no later than June 15th.

Separate from your shoebox:
- Please bring your completed optional swaps you signed up for.
- A snack to share - lunch is included so munchies/breakfast/dessert is good.
- Anything Stamping Themed you would like to sell/trade (non SU! is okay for sale)
- Your camera!
- whatever else you can't stamp without!
Rummage Sale – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items.
Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk.
Goodie Bags – for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value with some variations in colors, etc.
Door Prizes – There will be a limited number of door prizes available, by random drawing. Donations from our own group are always welcome so let me know
if you’d like to make a door prize donation and what it is. We will, of course, be awarding the +1’s from all of the swaps.
Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped gift related to our stamping passion.
We will draw for those so that everyone who brings one will also leave with one. Value on these should be about $5, and stamped projects are always appreciated!
If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! This swap will be done “Yankee Trader” style.
Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
