A big hello to all of you stampers in the Dayton Ohio area! It's time for another shoebox swap so sign up now before the slots are gone. This swap will be hosted at Epiphany Lutheran Church in their Celebration Center. Thanks to all who have attended these swaps in the past at Wright Patt and we look forward to seeing you again! Here are the details.
Date: Saturday, October 9, 2010
Time: 9am to 3pm
Location: Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave, Centerville 45459 (Directions will follow) Cost: $20 (Door prizes for everyone!)
Deadline to register: Saturday September 18th, 2010
Here�s how it works: You will design a card using current Stampin' Up! products only, cutting enough for each participant to make your creation. Each participant will make everyone�s card and you will go home with 20+ beautiful cards and a door prize!!. It will be a fun, creative time! There are only 25 slots so sign up early to reserve your spot.
Please bring a dish to share as we will enjoy a potluck lunch. There will be access to a kitchen. Beverages and breakfast will be provided.
There will also be an optional 3D swap for you to participate in. This swap is for anything 3 dimensional and requires that you bring already completed swaps for the total number of participants. Please contact any one of the three demos below should you have any questions about this optional swap. We will also be holding a garage sale for anyone who would like to sell some of their RETIRED Stampin Up! products! So please bring plenty of cash or your check book to purchase some items you may want to purchase.
Registration forms and the swap guidelines are attached to this thread. Please download these attachments and read thoroughly. Your registration form and fee are due to Jane Moresi (address on application form) no later than September 18th. We hope to see you all there! Get ready to have some fun stamping, sharing some creative ideas and win a wonderful door prize!

I know there are more than 10 ladies in the Dayton area who like to stamp!!!! Any more interested. OK, so you still have about one month to decide. Check your calendars and clear the date, after all, don't you deserve a day to yourself to stamp?!!! You'll have a geat, creative day of fun!

Hi Nikki--- Hi Tasha! Welcome to Dayton, Ohio.... I've added both of you. Tasha, you will mail your registration along with your check via snail mail. Gee, 20 years ago people wouldn't have called it snail mail!!! My how times have changed! Glad both of you could join us!!!
How about the rest of you Daytonians (that includes Beavercreek, Centerville, Huber Heights, etc) and any other surrounding area---heck, even Indiana and Kentucky. You can join us too!!!

Okay my registration will go out in the post this afternoon along with my check, thanks for hosting it's sounds like it is going to be a blast. Now the hard part of picking a project and finding a recipe I actually well to bring for the potluck. I am not the worlds best cook and don't even try and fake it.

Here's my rule for potlucks: Bring what you enjoy eating.
My sister likes to bring the cream puffs out of the freezer at the store, and they are snatched up quickly. No matter what you end up bringing, I'm sure we will devour it.

fyi - there's a craft-related garage sale happening next weekend, Sept 9 and 10th (Fri and Sat), from 9a-3p at 3100 Windmill Dr. Beavercreek, OH. Lots of retired Stampin' Up! stuff!! Pass along the info to anyone you know who may be building their crafting supplies. The Beavercreek Popcorn festival will be happening at the same time on Saturday, so you'll have two fun stops in one!

Bobbye I like that rule, I like eating a whole of things most of which are things I am not cooking.
I just realized that I had said "looking forward to Oct. 2." in a previous post...well that is true, but it's not the day of the shoebox swap. This shoebox swap is on Oct. 9. I just wanted to clarify that I do know that the shoebox swap is Oct. 9! And that I'm looking forward to Oct 9, also.

Ya got me! I am looking forward to Oct. 2 because that is the day that I'm walking in the Memory Walk with the Fairborn Alzheimer's Support Group Team in Yellow Springs.
Of course, any pledges/donations are happily accepted. Now if I could figure out how to put a link to my Memory Walk page here, that would be awesome...but alas, I haven't become that skilled yet. If I figure it out, you (all) will be the first to know! Bobbye

Well don't have too high hopes for great idea's on my swap, I am a very simply clean stamper and I like it that way. I had a ton of fun putting some names with the faces and look forward to really getting to know you ladies.
Wow, there is a lot of ladies coming out are we cutting kits for 25 ladies or just those who are registered by today?
Janet, I have received registrations from all but two people and I am trying to get in touch with them. So, hopefully I'll have the final count Sunday or Monday. That would mean 19 people total. I usually cut a few extra of the pieces that are stamped in case people make mistakes on their cards. Also, if I have extra, I just make the cards up and send them as needed!
