Woohoo! You and Lisa will both be able to come this year!
This will be my first "event" and I'm wondering -- is this an all-day/all-night event (9:30am to 4:30am?)
I am a "maybe" right now because my sister will be visiting that weekend. I will ask her if she wants to go with me.
If we go, we will be driving from Rochester, NY.
Definitely an all day thing...things usually finish up fairly close to 4 or 5 in the afternoon, if I recall correctly. Many people that stay at the hotel the night before will "jammie stamp" in the lobby or breakfast room if the hotel lets them, but it doesn't go into the night on the actual event.
It's a lot of fun, lots of laughs and a great time overall! You and your sister should come!
Tracy, I sent my form to you yesterday, I may add ATC but for now just doing 3D. Just to be sure, no gift exchange this year?
cricutaddict...that is so funny! I didn't even catch the 4am part! No, we are not having an all night event, lol. It will be 9:30am to 4:30 PM. Many of us head out to Buffalo Stamps and stuff following the event. The owner, Sharon, usually has some special things going on for us. Many also make plans to go out to dinner afterwards too but those things are all planned randomly by people.
Several of the stampers who travel in from a distance stay overnight Friday and some Saturday too. Those ladies have had jammie stamping parties in the hotel.
The event itself is a blast but if you want more, I am sure you can find more to do with some of those who are staying overnight.
There is usually a good group of Rochester stampers at the event. Many of my friends from when I used to live in Chili. Pack a car and plan to join us! I promise you will not be sorry!
I have a couple of questions - Full card or equivalent - does that mean the inside of the card needs to be completed with a sentiment? Also , if a project has a piece that is embossed can the piece be embossed and included in the kit or do I have to bring my Cuttlebug?

Thanks for your help - I'm still learning!
Joanne
Joanne, you can do it either way with the embossing. I am coming from near Toronto, ON Canada so I am not inclined to drag my bigshot such a distance so if I have embossed pieces in my project they will be predone. The project that I am planning uses pieces from a Cricut cart. I will have them all precut and included, rather than bring the machine along so people can play with it. Another consideration is space...you would have to find a spot to set up your 'Bug and supplies, etc.
Full card means backed with a card base, inside finished or not, as opposed to a card front. The NVR and SU! only swaps are card fronts only to save on paper.
Thanks for your help Melissa! This is all new to me - but I hope not for long.
Joanne
You're very welcome, you will have a great time. This is my third year attending and Tracy and her crew do an amazing job! Everything is so well organized and it's a total blast. You'll be tired at the end of the day, but a good tired, KWIM?
Melissa...... I'm glad I'm not the only one to be tired at the end of these events. I thought I was just "being a baby". It's more mental than physical... LOTS to absorb!!
Ok I am going to give it a try this year! I will send out my registration snail mail. BoPeep and AmyClaire have talked me into it!! Nervous but want to enjoy the fun!!

Oh yes, a lot to absorb and lots of fun, too! I'm not used to a lot of noise and all but I absolutely love these get togethers. For those prone to headaches, though, be sure to pack some tylenol/advil/aleve.

Don't be nervous, we all were newbies once, too! If you have any questions, be sure to ask them, if you need inspiration ask for suggestions...everyone is happy to help!

Ok -- I'm going to jump in and give this a try. Since my partner in crime Cheryl (Love2Craft) is going, I guess I'd better sign up.
Tracy (LodiChick) ~ I want to pay by Paypal so I've sent you an email with a couple of questions and my registration form.
Location: CNY but I'd rather be in Bonaire snorkeling!
