Longer hours on Saturday would be great & is under consideration. Also, if you look at the schedule for classes, you will find Saturdays when she is open later. Usually on the last Saturday of every month there is a crop going on all day so she would be open then.

Gayla, I did this sale last year and didn't find it was worth it for me. Everyone (and there weren't many) was shopping for scrapping items, not stamping.

The store has grown a lot. I'm hoping the garage sale this year will be better. Linda's right in saying there weren't many people there last year. This year other vendors have been invited to join. We'll see what happens. I think you can sign up until May 10th. Meanwhile, I need to figure out my projects for this get together.

As for the garage sale. Details are
1. Sign up through may 10th
2. $10 for your space
3. bring your own table

Lorraine -

If it were me i would pre-emboss, for lots of reasons.

Some people don't use a big shot they use a cuttle-bug, grand calibur or some other item for embossing and might not Know the sandwich to make it work right. You might end up with a broken plate. This has happened in class situations before for me, when I am there to ask, but you might not want to be pre-occupied with what is going on, at your shoebox and stay focused on the one you are working on instead,

Sometimes there is limited space and it's hard to fit all the items on the table when you need it.

Sharing tables space is tough when someone is rocking the Big shot and you are stamping something intricate.

I know it is more work for you, see what the card looks like without the embossing. If you still like it you might be able to skip that step! I'm impressed that you are this far along!!!!!!

Go Lorraine!

Big Shots -- There are always likely to be one or two BSs/CBs/etc. at the gathering. It's most important to have one when part of your shoebox project must be stamped then cut with a die or framelit in order to get the stamping to line up.

If a card is very simple/easy/quick to make, it's also a good idea because that will help fill a "time hole".

If a card is more complicated/requires lots of hand cutting/heat embossing, etc., it's better to do any Big Shotting ahead of time to save some time.

I do know that at least one CB and one BS there -- one set up to make cuts with framelits and the other for embossing. So, for these purposes, there won't be any switching of plates. If someone is using a die for cutting, a third machine will be needed.

[I really didn't leave Lorraine hanging on this; we talked about it in person.]

Oh, I forgot to say as well, that we try to have the machines at a "remote" table so that people actually leave their tables to go do their cutting and embossing. Any heat tools are also located away from the main working tables.

Note that "remote" isn't very far away in this room. LOL

Thanks Linda ... I knew I'd come up with a good title so I just waited until I did (and then had to remember it long enough to ask Lydia to change it for me LOL). I bet if I asked Tony he'd have said "hoarder" but I have no idea why

Gayla ... do you have any titles in mind?
