The 2-way glue that SU! sells (EK?) works really, really well for adhering stamps to blocks. When my new stamps arrive, I put the labels on and apply the glue right away. They're ready to go when I am.

Sue is right, I left purchasing *nothing*, but I had a good time. She and Janet made up for me.

Arlene, great haul! I know Nancy, Pat and Meg got lots because we first saw Nancy after she was returning from dropping off a part of their haul at the car.

Spent a bit of time catching up with Diane and Becky (and Chris) and got to meet and talk with Korin for a while, too.

I'd go back again but I don't think I'll have time today.
it was great seeing you girls yesterday and you are correct, we made up for you not buying had a ball.

I couldn't go so, Christy, I really appreciate that you shared all those photos. The cards and projects were all wonderful but one especially caught my eye. Could someone tell me who made the one with the spiral of butterflies (in various sizes and colors) and a pearl "trail" near the top. I'd love to CASE it!

TIA and ...

Happy Crafting!

As far as the Eclipse tape for masks goes, they did sell it at AC Moore not too long ago. Haven't checked to see if it is there now, but i will on my next trip. Also, painter's tape is great for masking and comes in different widths. Just an idea for those of us who didn't get it at the show.

I didn't buy any eclipse tape
as for painter's tape~I always put it on my jeans first. this gets rid of some of the tackiness. I'm always afraid of ruining my project

Actually, what I want is a mask made of paper vs. tape. Diane (TOD) knows what I mean. Is "Eclipse" tape what I want?

I'll have to start doing this too. I'm getting sick of having to look it up all the time.

I thought there was usually a show near you. Didn't Tina go to one recently?

Anyhow, plenty of stamping gatherings to pick from and maybe one will miss a biking date.

The show I went to in March (or April?) was in Oaks, PA ... I think it was near Philadelphia. I had spent the weekend at Jeanette's and she drove or I wouldn't have gone (LI is too far away from everything fun).

There has been a small-ish show but it moved from LI to Queens (near or in the college) and I heard it got worse and it wasn't too impressive to begin with. I was only able to go once in the past few years (retail work schedule interferes with fun weekend events).

PS - Anyone know who to credit for the butterfly card? I'd really love to CASE it!

tina i'm pretty sure the butterfly was a frame and not a card size project.
don't know who made it or who won it in the gift swap.
i think it's a punch or 2. regular cardstock. give it a try. play with it.
maybe others can add more info..............

Gayla, it was nice meeting your husband, wish I had more time to talk. If I could get my husband to go, they would have a great time talking and we could do stamping stuff. Oh, well, he'll be retired soon and have more time.

That makes more sense (I wasn't sure if even a 6x6 card would be big enough for the swirl). It's a fun idea and when I get a chance I will definitely play around with the idea.

Tony got a lot of painting done this weekend. The countertops and flooring should be happen within 2-3 weeks. The cat stepped in a paint pan and we got him before he could jump on the couch (I didn't try very hard ... we need a new couch) I got him cleaned up and let him "rest" on our bed. Kitchen remodeling is annoying but I already like the additional cabinets/drawers. We decided to get a new microwave so it could be over the stove and we replaced the dishwasher.

Guess that's why when my boss asked if I could come in early I said yes (that and the long list of stuff I want form the new SU catalog and the order I placed with Gina K; our niece-in-law's father recently passed away - he was only 58 - and I wanted the Not Forgotten set to send her a card for her first Father's Day without him. It arrived very quickly and if I didn't work extra hours today I'd have made the card but I'm off tomorrow so as long as I still clear some stuff out of the living room I'll get a chance to make the card.)

The mess doesn't bother me nearly as much as my FIL sitting (in the most inconvenient spot possible) to watch and "supervise" whatever it is we're doing (mostly Tony does the doing and I get the stuff he forgot in another room or hold the scraper etc.)

Hi Beth,

Thanks for the info. I think I can probably scale it down to a 6x6 card, perhaps even 5x5 if I use stamped images. Cannot wait for the remodel to be done so all the stuff crammed into every possible space in my craft/office can get cleared out and the chaos can be tamed enough to get inky.

Happy Crafting!
Tina aka TeeGeeDee

PS - I'd still love to know who made it so when I CASE it I can give credit (if I have to guess I'd say Judy but I haven't looked to see if she was even there).

Unfortunately, I can't take the credit for that either. That was Nancy's, and I wish I had won that one too! I did the OTHER framed piece. The 12x12 in blue, cream and brown. Pat got it.

So many beautiful frames to be had. Maybe everyone could make one for the gift swap next time since they're so popular.

I think it was my first CNY event where there was much jealousy over Judy's gift for the swap which is why I "guessed" it might have been her creation.

Off to read the rest of the comments to see if I know who to credit yet (I hope to make some framed art/home décor items once there is a bit of calm after the remodel so I just might make a frame and/or a card).

Anyway, I'm enjoying the eye candy and the chit-chat!

Of course I knew you were joking, and I would never
"throw back" one of Judy's creations, I love her work, she cracks me up, I say "is that yours" she just smile at me knowingly, so the game is on......
