At 1:14 a.m. I have the NVRs finished and packed...and I'm still wide awake. Time to find the paper for the ATCs.

Filled all of our jars with drinking water, eggs are almost finished hard boiling, some bread is out of the freezer, plants / pumpkins and birdfeeder, etc. are inside, DH cranked the heat up to get the house warm. Eating dinner. I'd say we're ready if the power goes out.
Now to work on my ATCs. Almost finished with my first one.

WHY did I pick an ATC with triangles that have lots of cutting that I have to use my brain to figure out the measurements??? OK, because it's really cute!

So true!
No storm problems here at all. Sunny skies with a little breeze. SIL in NC texted to see if we're OK...they only had rain. My brother from AZ just called to see how we faired...90 degrees out there. Well, I had better get a shower and get ready to go to work.

Girls I need help finding the sketch designs for scrapbooking on SCS. I know it is here and that there are tons but I can't seem to find it. I want to find a sketch for the recipe swap before I go to Jo-Ann's tonight. Any help would be appreciated. One happy note is that I 2 swaps and the shoebox to do and then I am done!!

Why can't every day be a crafty day?
Shoebox is done, NVR Swap is 95% done - Ran out of fall DSP and glue dots to attach the ribbons, Recipe cards are 95% done - still need to finish coloring them.

Would you believe DH bought me something from Michael's??? He had to go get something for a customer and brought me stickers because they are of fish and a sea turtle as if we were snorkeling...they were on clearance for 50 cents. Too funny since he doesn't like me buying any more craft stuff!

This might be what you are looking for (hope so!):
allen's brother was hit hard. they live on the last island across from AC,in jersey
they are fine. roads (house) is flooded. can;t get home to check on house.
You're welcome. We are in remarkably good shape ... no loss of power and only a few intermittent (and short) interruptions to cable (tv/internet).
DH's sister/BIL lost power but have a generator and are hunkered down with their dogs. He just came from there 'coz we couldn't reach them by phone. His brother/SIL also lost power but are at their oldest son's house (no power but they have gas heat vs electric so they are warm and can cook). We read that 90+% of Long Island lost power so I think we used up whatever Karma points we've accumulated . DH's job closed early yesterday and is still closed today. I was scheduled to work 2-10pm yesterday but called my boss to say I couldn't leave FIL home alone and would leave as soon as DH got home. I sent him a text that I was on my way and he replied to go home (so I replied Ok & Thx). Not scheduled again until Friday!
Waving back. Sorry to hear about Allen's brother. I'm not very chatty lately 'coz I find it hard to type on the netbook. (and the screen is too tiny to read; if I make the fonts larger I have to keep scrolling to read left-to-right ... aaargh!) so i lurk to stay updated.

I signed up to bring Creamy Spinach Parmesan Soup this weekend, but due to monetary restrictions, I will be bringing Boiled Soup instead (Ham, potatoes, carrots and cabbage boiled together to make a soup - Very delish)

Cutting is done for my ATCs but now I have a cat napping on my lap. Kind of difficult to put a scor-pal on my lap to stamp! I had to clean Zekey's ears (how does an indoor cat get yucky in her ears for the first time in her 19 years???) so must be she needs her mommy to console her. I can do punching at least.

Thankfully, we weathered through Sandy quite well down this way. Scattered power outages through-out the county - but luckily we were not amongst those affected. Which is extra good because I was able to get my bookmarks finished up last night!!!
I have my model done for the shoebox, so I just need to start cutting away. I should be in good shape for Saturday! Yay!!
