Hi all, I am so bummed I can't make your gathering but wondered if anyone did any new folds or techniques if they or someone could send me the direction and a copy. I love going to these great get-togethers with friends and get the best ideas.
We had 30 shoeboxes this past weekend and it was pretty tough to finish in the 10-4 time frame we had. We were FULL at 30 though. My next one will be a 30 limit too, but going 10 - 5 instead. Just an FYI.
I 2nd that "pretty tough" comment! And Nancy even got us an extra 30mins - so we got to stay till 4:30pm. (definitely appreciate that, Nancy! ) I got thru all 30 - but had 3 or 4 that I didn't assemble/color, etc.
I think if the numbers stay at 24/25 - 10am-4pm should not be a problem. If they go up, maybe Irene can check if it's OK to have it till 5pm?
Hey Ladies.....I was wondering if anyone is going to go down on Friday night & spend the night? It's a five hour drive for me & was thinking I would be better off going Friday night & staying at a hotel instead of waking up @ 3:30 a.m. & heading out way too early. Please let me know if these are your plans also.
Awww, Robin - if our house wasn't under renovations, I'd double up the kids, and offer you my daughter's room. Unfortunately, I don't think the addition will be done by the end of March.
But on the bright side - when it is done, I'll have a CRAFT ROOM - yippee!!!!

Unfortuntatly I have to cancel attending this event. I have been scheduled for minor surgery on 3/30 and wont be in any condition to drive the next day.
I'm a bit bummed bc I love our stamping crew and it is always so much fun with your girls!

i'm trying to copy heidi's links into my signature. as you can see i got the hudson valley one. but it didn't copy the way i wanted. i wanted it to be like heidi's. and to have the date.

I usually just follow the same format as I had before, just cut and paste the new URLs and the new location and date.

I'm wondering if it's because my paid subscription has expired and I've been too lazy to renew.
Here's the whole thing. You are going to want to edit the things like my name, delete the design team stuff, etc.
Gayla, you should open the notepad document in one window, and open "edit signature" in your SCS window. Then copy (highlight, CTRL-C) and paste (highlight, CTRL-V) right into the spot to edit your signature. I would try it on the previous file first.
P.S. Nancy, I'm not a fan club member at this point.
I get all kinds of errors that my sig is too long. Max. of 600 characters including formatting. It's frustrating because I've done it before without a problem.
I rejoined the fan club last night to see if that helps.
Hey all! I am, unfortunately, not going to make it for this event. I'm still not back to 100% and am in pt yet. Radiation starts in two weeks and will likely bring some stiffness to my arm again. I didn't realize how much work I'd need to get back from this surgery, so I'm setting my goal for next month. I'm sure the day is going to be awesome!
Oh, btw, on the siggy info: I was actually told by a mod at one point that I had too much in my siggy -- too many links to outside sites -- I believe it is a 3 link limit.
Sorry you are still having health issues. You need to tend to yourself before stamping becomes important. I hope you can bounce back quickly.
I currently have 4 links in my signature.. but hardly any copy to go with them. I know, in the past, I had 4 links with the full titles as well as my name and other rhetoric. But now I can't seem to be able to put hardly anything. My name is gone... bleh.

Fellow Hudson Valley stamper here! Please forgive me, as I don't know all of the ins and outs of how these work.
Is it that you choose a project type to do (3-D, for example), and then you bring enough materials for all participants (20 at this point)? (I feel silly even asking, but I figure it's better to be safe than sorry!! lol)
I just might be able to come, and would love to meet some fellow stampers from the area. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Tracey, yes, for the shoebox project it can be a 3-D item, a card, etc. and you bring enough cut paper, the inks, the stamps, brads, punches, embellishments, etc. (plus extras for boo boos plus several completed samples--check Post #1 for that amount) so all participants can stamp and complete your shoebox project at the gathering.
For the swaps you bring enough completed carfronts, ATCs, 3-D, recipes, etc. for the number in that swap and you trade yours with all swap participates.

I tried out Heidi's sig...at first, I got the same message that Nancy mentioned....it was over 600 characters. I got rid of all the other blogs/links she had, and just just kept the sbs links. Seems to have worked OK. I can send you a PM with what my signature is now, if you want to copy & paste it.
