Danette,

I would be willing to pay my protion for the year. I know I have missed the last few months and would miss some the next year, but I am happy to support this group!

And I would love to come to the December gathering! I actually think the date might work out for me!!!

I am so thrilled to share that my card was chosen as a winner in the 2011 World Card Making Day Contest. The winning cards will be published in the March/April 2012 Issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. Thanks to all my card making friends for supporting and enabling me! See blog post below.

Congrats Carol! I wanted to apply but could not get the information timed right. I'd see it when I had no access.
Are there any news on our meet? And I can't wait for our Blue Owl lunch. Talked to Gill
and hope she can make it.

A Little Birdie Told Me B&N-Kirkwood Library

Well a little birdie told me that the B&N (we were using) is closing their doors-so far this is not advertised-so we would have to have another location anyhow-THANKS KINDLE USERS-hahahah.

Joanne will be hosting November in her home (she has a craft space ample for all to attend) PM Laurie for info-since Joanne is not a SCS blogger. Theme is set as Christmas.

December luncheon is the second Saturday at the Blue Owl, Kimswick. Ornament exchange, 1-hand made ornament

December shoebox gettogether is the third Saturday at Kirkwood Library. (Second was already reserved-and we have the luncheon)

Please arrive earlier and reserve a month in 2012-cost is $10 for 4 hours (Second Saturdays are still open-if that works for all)(A small fee will be set aside for visitors or those who don't wish to reserve a month) The monies collected can accumulate until another months worth is saved then we can reserve another month. (I'm thinking 2 or 3 dollars) You can also make the reservation thru their website.
We are responsible for put up and take down of all tables and chairs-and have use of all in the stockroom. (we will figure it all out) NO food or drink (except bottle of H2O) Time reserved is 1-4:45, due to the Library closed at 5.

I am soooooo looking forward to our new venue-it is so close to some of my favorite shops-Checkered Cottage (on the same street), Ink Spot, Red Lead...

If any issues or ideas-please post-we will work it all out.

Yea-hope to see lots of you-miss you. Thanks for volunteering to pick up a month-I am so thrilled about the new location-it does have that Kirkwood ol'town charm. The sooner you make a reservation the better (can be made thru the website, second Saturdays from 1-4:45)-I am worried that we won't get our whole year-I am so forgetful when the weeks aren't the same-I'm sure I am not the only one like that!!!

Keep that money in a pool, until the end of the year, then divide it up among the ladies who fronted the money for the reservations.

By the way, I checked with the county library in Clayton. They also charge $10 for 3 hours and you can reserve the room for 6 months in advance.

When is the Blue Owl trip?

Carol
Congradulations on the magazine entry-awsome!!!
I thought the pooled monies could be used to pay an ongoing month-how's that sound-then we will be less out of pocket as the year progresses-sounds good anyhow. Have you made the reservation? See you at Joanne's

Default November 12th meeting

Hi Everyone,
I would like to invite you to my home on the 12th since Barnes and Noble is no longer available. I am set up to host a group of 10 - 12 women. You don't need to bring heat guns as I have two.You will want to put all of the supplies in a bin that can be passed around. There is limited room for getting in and out of your chairs. I have been having stamp camps in my home for a number of years and this method seems to work best. I hope that is ok with everyone. I live at 10732 Cathy Drive. I am just off of Lindbergh at Tesson Ferry. If you need directions please e-mail me or call. My e mail is hubrfam@swbell.net and my phone is 314-550-7697. I hope you can make it. Thank you, Joanne Huber

Post Library in Kirkwood

I recieved a PM that all the Janurary Saturdays were already taken at the library-I hope that one was reserved in the groups name and we havn't missed out. (we can fix one month, by hosting in a home, volunteer?)

It is very important to keep this group going in one location to get that room reserved. (Reserved as SplitCoast Stampers-DaNette, as you reserve place your name where mine is so as easier to keep track who has paid for a reservation)

See you Saturday.

Laurie-mother of 2 boys is Diane

There was only 1 Saturday reserved in our name. Mine won't be official to after the board has a meeting on it. I had to give 2 dates that would work for each month. No
money switched hands. She had said the request has to go in front of the board first.
The room was nice. Bathrooms across the hall. There is an elevator right there too.
If anyone gets a chance to be near Kirkwood, check it out on Jefferson. I reserved
under St.Louis Splitcoaststampers.

Kirkwood Library just called and confirmed from the board that we have Feb. 11th and March 24th. I had to give multiple dates. January was booked, so we will have to brainstorm. I saw in there that there was another group trying to take the second Saturdays. So we will need to jump on this.
I have to go pay now that it is approved from the board. I have a doctor's appointment with a specialist for my lung failure. I don't expect any results

Ok, I haven't been on since our last meeting but did I miss a count for the 12th? I see all kinds of lists for reservations at the Blue Owl in Dec but nothing for tomorrow? Anyone want to give me an idea? I know Joanne said she could take 10-12 but some times we have more and sometimes less...anyway, I will plan for a dozen ynless I hear otherwise.

Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving to aall!

I am so excited because today I received my first box of goodies from the World Card Making Day Contest that I won. It was a box full of EK Success punches, mostly fancy edges. I'll have to come up with a project for us that will utilize some of them.

I got another huge box with the rest of my prize package inside, chock full of scrapping goodies. Christmas has come early for me! The only thing that has not come yet is the die cut machine and Make the Cut software, as a Cricut user, I am curious to see how this machine works.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in December.
