Jo Ann, love the name tag idea. This will really be fun. Maybe everyone can then take theirs home and embellish them.

The tags should reflect us or decorate just for fun. And I have enough for us
all.
The names are switched backwards on Gill's and mine. I"d gladly take credit,
but I wouldn't want Gill mad. haha

Default DaNette's tent

I was playing today and cut my squares 4 inch by 4 inch. I had to be careful with my embellies, but my card will fit in an invitation envelope. But DaNette, where did you get your Velcro? Mine has already come apart? Jo Ann

JoAnn I am going to try and help you. Danette had to put her dog down yesterday and she is beside herself, as you can imagine. Do you mean that the Velcro that Danette brought with her on Saturday, is not working anymore, or do you like the Velcro she used and want to get some yourself?
Jenny, also I heard from Danette, that she thinks that she took your sample by mistake. She said she is very sorry, and will get it back to you on the 18th if that will work. I also didn't make it home with my card of yours Jenny. I had it sitting by your stuff, but it was in a plastic bag uncolored if anyone found it. Jenny, can you send me the pattern for yours, so I can remake it, please.
Count me in the the 18th too.
Also, the cards are now listed in my SCS album in my gallery. HERE is the link.

I bought a different kind at Michael's yesterday, but I think it is too thick. DaNette's works well and is thinner. I was just wondering where she bought it.
I'm sorry DaNette about your dog. It can be so painly, since they are part of the family.
I'm going to have to come up with a way to keep what we make together. A couple of times I have gotten home without a card. THINK THINK Hear the rattle? Jo Ann

I will try to find out where she got hers. Now you keep thinking about how to solve my constantly misplacing my stuff, and then let me know what I am doing wrong. hehe If I would just take the time, to put them all in the same envelope, that would be a great idea. Easy huh??? NOT Too much other fun stuff to do.

I have a few dates set!
* October 23rd Swap at my house starting at 1:00. If anyone is new and needs directions please feel free to PM me. We will have a theme of holidays so feel free to make Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas! I will be serving up Fall snacks and apple cider

*I also will hold my annual Christmas Crafts event at my house on December 11th starting at 1:00. It's a great time to make Christmas gifts and enjoy a SCS Christmas Party! This will make our 3rd year I think. Mark it on the calendar and let me know if you would like the details or to be put on the list. I am planning and preparing early this year hehehe

JoAnn, Danette said the Velcro she used was from Hobby Lobby, but was on clearance. Not sure if you will still be able to get them there. She said it was Velcro brand.
Julie, count me in for the 23rd of October. Danette also will be able to make it, if you are starting a list. I wrote down the Christmas date too, and it sounds like fun. You are really organized this year.

I enjoyed your Christmas Crafts very much last year Julie! Remember the frames we decorated? The wood ones? I used some heritage looking papers, and added a very cool picture of my Great Grandfather in it and sent it to my Dad for his birthday, as it was his Grandpa. He loved it! He had to show it to the neighbors! LOL! Still, I had such a great time last year, I am looking forward to this year!!
I may miss the 18th too, I have to check my calendar at work. I think I have an all day crop --with adult beverages-- with some folks I haven't crafted with before, but I am looking forward to it! That crop may be a week later, but I will let you know!

Enjoy your Cub Scout camping, I always did with my boys when they were scouts! Loved every minute of it!
Take care,
Gillian

I would love to come in Sept - but we are taking the kids camping :0) for the weekend - and I also have concession duty that Sunday for DD's cheerleading. Julie - please put me down for your October and December dates. I will keep watching for what might be happening in November. I am super excited about October Julie!!!!
Any scrapbooking plans in Columbia scheduled for the next few months?

Tracy - can't wait to get together again! I am way behind on scrapbooking - so I am counting on Julie to get me caught back up!

Well crapola!!! Just got an invite from hubbies sister inviting me to a baby shower for Sat the 18th at 2. Guess I will have to back out of our shoebox. Family has priority, as much as I would love to come and stamp. The best laid plans of mice and men, down the drain.
I will look forward to seeing everyone in October.

Hi ladies! Joel is having his eye surgery on the 17th, so I won't make it on the 18th. His tear duct surgery went well, but he was clingy for a couple of days and not our normal happy camper, so I'm sure he'll be the same this time.

I'm trying to be organized and plan ahead, so I've been thinking about party favors for Joel's birthday. I'm fairly certain I'm going to do decorated bags, but the part I need help with is the goodies. Joel will be the only kid at the party. So, I need some ideas for kid-like treats for adults. The only thing I've come up with is Suduko books, instead of coloring/activity books and good chocolate instead of "penny" candy.

I have been meaning to drop you a line. I sure hope he is still doing well. My
prayers are with you all.
How big is your treat bags? If you want to think about being back to your
youth....I had the paper Chinese handcuffs that went over so big at a party.
You know those goofy tubes you put a finger into at both ends? I have weird
parents here at out school! haha
We all will have to think about that. Will miss you and hope things go well.

Julie Call me when my order is ready and I will drive over to get it. Do let me know when your next Copic Class is too.
Melissa, will be thinking about gift bag ideas. I bet if you walk a few aisles at Ben Franklin, you will come up with some ideas. I do like your Suduko book idea. The party store there on Watson has lots of party ideas too. I think it is called Party Center. I am assuming your party will be before Christmas. How about making some of the neat paper ornaments for each bag?
Have fun Saturday. Wish I was there.

Sorry you had to cancel but nothing is better than being needed.

It's been a crazy week and I have nothing cut out so I'm just going to pass tomorrow so I'm not trying to rush to get everything ready. Hopefully I will see everyone next month at Julie's.

Hi! I had so much fun yesterday. All the cards were fantastic!

Thanks Gill, Jo Ann and Katherine for bringing your fun seasonal collection for us to stamp off. Thanks Gill for the white paper; your generosity allowed me to bring home some wonderful images.

See you next month Marilyn

I mentioned at the meet that we could follow each other or car pool to your house. Several haven't been there.
Now to get this month over with!! You are always so fun!

Please add me to the list for October 23rd.

Joel's eye surgery went well on Friday. He looks a little devilish, because his eyes are bloodshot and will likely be for about a week. He has also been a bit crabby and clingy, but nothing horrible or unexpected. His eyes are now tracking together, which is a big difference, and you can tell by the way he was looking at things that he is seeing differently. The doctor said that there is a 1 in 5 chance that he may need to have another surgery to further correct his eyes, but that we won't know if that is necessary for 3 or 4 months. We are hoping that this did it, and that he isn't that 1 in 5.

WOO HOO! I know the neighbor's grandson's went perfectly years back. You should've timed it for Halloween and gave everyone a big scare! haha
I'm glad you let us know. I hope he does well and Mommy too.
