Well I will volunteer for the second get together. I also have a set up in my basement for 12 or so ladies. If I clean off my tables we may be able to seat more. And don't let Beth fool you, her basement is very nice. (It has lots of stamping stuff!!!!!) That is all I need for a "nice" basement.

Hey! I got us THERE just fine! It was the coming home part where I had to reverse the rights and the lefts that messed with my head! and yeah, I'm LMAO too! I can't believe that out of the 4 turns we had to make, we (okay, *I*) only got the first one correct and that was the one out of the parking lot!

I should be on the list. I pm'ed all of my info including except my year of birth. Only Beth knows how 'OLD" I really am. LOL Would Sept 16th work good for everyone. My youngest is getting married on Sept 3rd, so I will be ready to let my hair down and stamp and relax.
Let me know about that date.

So...August 12th at my house in St. Peters! Please let me know if you think you can make it. I have to limit it to 12, so don't delay!
If there is still room, and this is going to be during the day, I'd like to be added to the list for August 12th.

We have theater tickets and dinner plans that evening, so if it's an evening gathering, I'll have to wait until September.

I would also be willing to host one month. It would be a good excuse to clean.

If we are looking for larger venues, the Hazelwood Community center has some nice rooms to rent. They run about $60. The center we've used is off of McDonald Douglas Blvd, about 2 miles from 270.

Got you down for September Melissa. I would like to start early on Saturday. Would 10 a.m. be too early for anyone? We could still do our Saturday night things then.

September 16 sounds fine with me. Count me in, please.
Couple questions though:
1) If some of the girls I know want to do this is it okay to invite them if were still under 12, and if so, is it okay if they do something along the scrapbook line? Some of the girls I know do cards but some do scrapbooking, so maybe a 6x6 that we can then take home and do a progressive page with it. (I'm thinking these sound kinda cool anyway.)

2) What time in August?

Barbie

P.S. 3)Does everyone have enough work space/tables or would bringing our own card table/portable table be good for those of us who may have them?
Just a thought.

This sounds great, thanks Lynn for letting me know about it. I'd love to be involved, I have another stamper friend who I'm sure would also join if there is space.

I can get my clubhouse for a nominal fee, it would fit 15 or 20 if need be. I live in Hazelwood, near 270 & McDonnell.

Ok, I've been looking for the other venue places to meet and from what I've seen on one of the St. Louis County Library's Bridgeton Branch website the fee is only $10 a room. I'm not sure if it would have an all day availability (9am-5pm) if we are even talking that long. One draw back is no food or drink, but the upside it's really cheap.
Another option is the Community Centers as was mentioned before by others. If someone lives in a central location and wants to check out there prices. That would make it less than $10 a person if they run in the $60 - $70 range. Draw back to this is you only get like 4-5 hours then they start charging an extra fee. Seems like off Hwy. 70 is central. I'm thinking like St. Ann, Bridgeton. Or, for the St. Peters/O'Fallon girls would it be Hwy. 40/61? If that doesn't sound right, or nobody likes this idea, throw in your 2 cents, please.
I'll keep looking and post more options here as I find them.

I know that our Maryland Heights community center does have meeting rooms, but the cheapest one is $50. and there is a two hour limit on that one...so that won't work. Their rooms that have a longer limit has even more expensive than that...Let me check with my MIL...she has a subdivision center that can be rented, but I can't remember the cost of that one....stand by.

Hi ladies. Put me down please for September 16th. And I will talk with DH tonight about the October. I don't see that it will be a problem, but I want to clear it with him. I can probably swing 12 as well. We may need a volunteer table, but my sister may have one.

I'll get back to you asap!

Default Ok...what are the rules?

First let me begin by saying how pleased I am that these gatherings are all working out so well.
I will want to begin working on my M&Ts for our August meeting soon, (or at least thinking about what I'd like to do) and so I ask what type of guidelines do we have?
Thanks

I was thinking 1pm-4pm for the August get-together. If we have 12 stampers, that would give us 15 minutes for each project. Many cards are more like 5-10 to assemble when all the design and cutting is done, so that should be plenty of time. I will provide some snacks (nothing fancy!) and soda/water.
Melissa (tetris), since it was in the afternoon, I put you down for August.

Just MHO: I would like to see MOSTLY SU! products used. I'm not a SU! snob, but I do love their stuff. I'm good with cards or 3-D type projects. I am not much of a scrapbooker these days, so honestly I'm not really interested in scrapbook pages, but I can roll with it if others are really interested in including them.
Heather, please sign me up for OCTOBER!

thanks, girls! this is going to be FUN.

1-4 sounds great to me. I agree with you and I prefer cards and 3-D projects. (but I'm easy too and will roll-with-the-flow). When we get a little closer to the date, give me a count, and if we don't have 12 yet, I'll invite one of my friends...it would be nice to have an even dozen. Will you want to track which sets we will be using, or will that matter?
L.

Nope! I doubt if we all would pick the same set, and even if we did, wouldn't it be fun to see 12 different ways to use the same set?

Dee---I PM'd you!

Heather--Can you put me down for Oct., too?

I can host in maybe, say, January? December might be a busy month for us all. I can have 12, too.

Anyone planning on going to Regionals in Nov.?
