WOW! I caught Lynn's pictures lastnight by scoping throught some pics, and I am soooo sorry I had to miss the get together. The cards are all fab - and of coarse all my fav's too! Looks like you guys had fun! My DD and I are getting over the strep pretty quick - I love amoxicillan! Any way - I can't come in Aug for the get together - I will be in Chicago for a scrapbook convention. I am in for Sept. though, no matter what I will be there!
Now I've just got to come up with an idea for a masculine card. I won't be surprised if I end up with an airplane card again, but I'm going to try and refrain.
As always, I had fun stamping with everyone and look forward to next time.
What is your guest capacity? The reason that I am asking is that I have been e-mailing a sweet stamper from Mt. Vernon (about 100 miles from Chesterfield) who wants to come up and stamp with us...as she also wants to share the info with her secretary and her secretary's mother (both demos). I'm not sure if the secretary and mom-of-secretary would be attending, but I wanted to check with you before I told Sally that she could mention it.

Lynn - there should be plenty of room - it's a dining area for the hotel and while I don't know the 'official' capacity, I can count 11 tables (visually - so I may be off a bit since I'm doing it from memory!) so that should be good for at least 20 people (giving us room to play!). So go ahead and invite them! The more the merrier (and the more ideas we get!).

Looks like a great crowd gathering for August. Sounds like we have a larger work area with the room Tracy is able to get. Melissa, no one would be sad if you used that cool airplane stamp again, and if you have any extra maps, that would be great!!!! Heather, we will see you in Sept then. Have a great time scrapbooking in Chicago. Sounds like fun. It will be good to see some new stampers, Lynn, and look forward to seeing you again Marilyn!
OK - I have written the Aug 25 outing in INK on the calendar. Please share details as time approaches. New to the crew - I hope as you said you take newbies. I am the MTV who is 100 miles from CH. I look forward to meeting all of you and, of course, spending quality time with others who share my wonderful time-grabbing habit/hobby. Staff and students will have returned for the first full week of school and I will need some time away to be pampered with a fun-filled day. HA!

Awesome Sally. I'm so glad you will able to join us. We usually have the time of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. set aside for our shoebox swaps. Tracy (August hostess) will send out directions to the location as time gets closer. Also, our theme this time will be masculine cards, so get your thinking cap on. These are always a challenge for me!
A friend and I are interested in st. louis area swaps. Is there still room in the August swap or is it full?

I'm going to let the August hostess answer this question for you. (I'm not sure if Tracy is in town this weekend) I've never been to the location where it will be held this time, and I'm not sure how many have already signed up. I hope there's room because personally, I'd like to encourage as many to attend as can make it! What part of St. Louis do you live? I'm in Maryland Heights.

Oh, that IS too bad (for us, not for you...I'm sure you will have fun there as well). But watch the thread...we have these every month!
All you need to do is just check back on the thread (or by you posting here, have subscribed to this thread) and you will get all the information that the rest of us have. We really have a great time at our shoebox swaps...and the layout ideas and techniques that we get from one another are fabulous!!!

I'm pretty new too - this will only be my third (I think) swap with this group and it's sooo much fun! Well, Tracy--after my quick reply to include me in the swap on Aug 25th, I found out that I have a mandatory weekend retreat at work so I have to back out. I will watch for next swap and hope to join you. Sorry for the confusion. Karen (kbess46)
