Me neither Paula! I figure I will work on it while I'm home playing nursemaid to DH after his surgery!

Don't you all worry. I've had my comeuppance for being ready early......I replaced the flush valve in my toilet tonight. Let us say it was a "learning experience" and it involved a geyser of water, a shattered light bulb, and some shattered nerves. If you want more details, see my facebook page under "my plumbing misadventures."

Oh no! Sorry you had to deal with that! You could have called me, I'm sure my DH could have walked you through it!

And then I wouldn't have had a great story to share, LOL. Oh well. I'll remember that for some future emergency. Thanks.

Kathi - when is your DH's surgery? The end of Feb?
If you are on FB, go read Thersa's adventure. It's worth it - a very good laugh. Theresa you are an excellent story teller. How's the toilet working?
Paula, havent seen you on here recently. Have you been making cards?

Yes Rose, it's Feb. 27th. I'm taking off work the day of surgery and then when he comes home, which will probably be March 1st and the rest of that week and the week after. It will be a little mini-vacation! I'm hoping that while he's resting I can work on my card for the swap!

Just got back from giving the dog a bath. Not sure who is wetter. He was not real cooperative today. I was going tot ake a shower and then thought, no go take the dog to the bath place BEFORE! Glad I did that cause now I need a shower! While I was waiting to pay, he decides to poop on the floor and I didnt see it until I turned around. Had to clean that up too. With all that, I am sweating like a pig. Thats why my hair is soaking wet. Anyhow, we are home now and he drying off. Curly locks.
Paula, I can so relate to nto getting anything done. Yesterday I started cleaning off the table to work on the bag album and ended up cleaning up all my Christmas stuff and reorganizing it and finally putting it away. No album work.
Anyhow, everyone have a great day.

Poor Rose! I always come out of there soaked as well and Sammy is really good about cooperating but I still make a mess! I always wear my oldest stuff when I take him and I'm sure I look like a bag lady to those people.

At least you can do the next day what you didn't get done today! That's the nice thing about being retired, isn't it?

Rose, the toilet is working fine. My co-workers enjoyed the story as well, and when I was done telling it, they said "Why didn't you go to YouTube and watch a video on how to do it first?" D'oh! I had no idea someone would have posted a video on how to change a flush valve, LOL. I'm just not young and hep enough I guess.

Okay, I have finally gotten my registration done and will mail it tomorrow. That list showing almost everyone else has paid is shaming me. Good idea about needing hot cups for the keurig. I have a few different types of K-cups (coffee) and some of apple cider I can bring. The keurig that I have is the smaller one that you put in water each time you make a cup. It is easy. I can also bring cremora and splenda. Boy, I better write this down so I don't forget what I am saying.

DH has the single one in his BOQ. I made him buy one. took all of two days before he admitted I was right.

I have chai latte, some teas, cider and hot cocoa and cafe mocha. only bringing about 2-4 of each so there will be a decent variety. if you are really lucky I will bring the Jet puffed Mallow bits( just like the little crunchy ones that come in the envelopes of swiss miss) My sister sent me a canister of the peppermint ones.

Laureen, which coffee flavors do you have? I'll try not to double up.

DH relies on YouTube a lot for different how-to videos especially when it comes to his jeep or welding. He has learned a lot and has repaired quite a bit on his jeeps with the free help of others. It's amazing what you can find on there. Glad your toilet is working fine now.

I have two card ideas floating in my head. Just have to put them on paper and see which one I like best. It's not the last minute yet, so all is well.

I have caramel cream vanilla, pumpkin spice, and dark roast dunkin donuts and apple cider. The Mallow bits sound good.

hmm the only doubles I have is the caramel vanilla and cider. I may steal a few DD ones to save for John's homecoming. heheheh

I tried ordering the mallow bits on Peapod but they are either too new or there is no demand b/c they were not available.

I have a shipment of teas coming this week so I will bring those.

Kathi: resistance is Futile.

you will be assimilated.....

just when you do let me know first.. so I can send you a coupon code for a discount off your first order of K cups from a site that lets you make your own variety packs. great way to try a new flavor without having to commit to a full box.

Thanks DM! That sounds great!
