I am in Mount Dora and I just had a great Shoebox swap at the local library Saturday. We had 9 fun stampers at the meeting and we got a surprise visitor come by our meeting. Kim of My Favorite Things came at lunch time and gave everyone a cool MFT Logo canvas bag and the new Mother's Day stamp. I also taught the stampers how to make a flipbook album and we made lots of cards. What a day. I can't wait for next month's meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
I am taveling to Clearwater/Dunedin (near Tampa) for the July 4th weekend....any cool shops I can visit while there?? I live in a rubber wasteland, here in Pensacola...only shops are Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnns.
I am just thrilled to see that there are stampers hidin' all around me in Gainesville, Florida. We MUST get together sometime! Too much fun! =c)
What part of G-ville? There's a bunch of us just a few miles south in the Citra/Sparr area in northern Marion county. Several stamping get-togethers planned over the summer as most of us work in education and are off for the summer.
yes it is!
I have a very small shoe box on the 30th if you'd like to join us.
Not even sure it would be called a shoe box. At the moment I have two ladies coming that don't bring anything, they are sorta new to our world
A shoebox swap is where a group of stampers get together. Each prepares a card or project for the group to make. You have all the supplies prepared and bring them. You go home with completed cards equal to the number of people who attended the swap. Great way to make new friends and see the creativity of others!!
We need to plan a gathering! Who might be interested?
What area do you live? What time of the year is best for you?
This post contains my first initial thoughts of planning a gathering. Please post your ideas here for a gathering!
